Transition sceeeeeene! That's one way to get from 1 point to another. Also, in the bottom left corner, Antimony considers Antimony.

This page reminds me of the well known proverb: "Don't argue with idiots. They will only bring you down on their level and beat you in experience." Now I certainly won't call Coyote an idiot, but somehow I find this fitting. Awesome page though. Coyote's movement really conveys divine speed.

Beautiful art!
The fact that Ysengrin is present so many times suggests that he follows Coyote and Annie closely. We end up near a big tree. I hope it is Yggdrasil!

Ysengrin does seem to be following them. Maybe that's why Coyote refuses to talk about throwing Annie at him. Or because he just wants to annoy her. Probably both.

I had to resister to say that is page is absolutely beautiful, a work of art. Worth putting on the wall, tough I'd prefer it without the bubbles for that.
It reminds me of turn-of-the-century (ca 1900) Scandinavian art. Not John Bauer, but some of his close contemporaries.

I wouldn't put it past Coyote to be testing Annie's patience, perhaps as some odd way of trying to endear himself to her by getting under her skin? Or perhaps he teases her about her skills as a medium so as not to show too *much* favoritism towards her over Ysengrin.. as possessive he can be about having Coyote's favor. Ah, so THAT's what Annie looks like in Coyote's eyes. it's interesting to see the world perceived through Coyote's eyes. I wonder if she just bears the court emblem on her chest in this imagery purely because she's wearing her uniform. If she were to take the uniform off, would the symbol showing on her chest be the symbol for Antimony instead? (NO, I did not mean stripping down naked )

I love how coyote is biting/overlapping his own tail. It makes him a continuous presence throughout the scene, while Annie and Ysengrin seem so static. It looks almost like while they have to travel from point A to point B, coyote just exists at all points in between, and simply chooses where to be.
Or, you know, maybe it's just because it *is* from his perspective!

Maybe the bismuth symbol is there because of a connection of the medium to the bismuth seed. That's just my wildspec, though.

You know, I love how Annie can just say things like "I'm very upset with you" to a god.
I have to wonder whether she's getting a little too familiar, or if Coyote doesn't mind.

Some kind of mystic entrance into the tree? Like in Star Wars ;D

So why is Annie wearing the Bismuth symbol in coyote-vision view?
A wonderful piece of graphic design, Tom!

I wonder if this chapter will deal with the Jeanne plot line at all.
At first i thought it would, it seemed like Annie went to the wood to find out more about her, but now it seems like Coyote is leading away from this topic.
Will Annie be so distracted by Yssy and Coyote's antics to actually forget about that?

I love how coyote is biting/overlapping his own tail. This, plus the serpent imagery, makes me think of the ouroborus. One of which appeared on the third Treatise. The ouroboros was a symbol of continuous cycling. Hmm...

I'm reminded of when Jones was first trying to assess Annie by making her upset. Perhaps Coyote is trying a similar tactic. Also, just a thought, I wonder if Ys isn't following them but is there simply as a symbol for the forest, since everything in coyote vision is either very simple or very symbolic, I don't think we can necessarily take any of it at face value.

Ah! Mezzaphor already mentioned the Ouroboros. I thought I would have something to contribute! D:

Specifically, it's over Ysengrin's missing ear, which I personally always took as an indicator that he lost his ear to someone or something having to do with the Court.

With Coyote pressing so much on the matter of Annies wonky symbol, could it be that his current antics are some sort of "punishment" for her messing it up? (some sort of "if you can't show us the respect of putting up a proper symbol, we won't treat you in the proper manner either.) The forest side would take the right symbolism rather serious, and as seen here might take some offense at what they would see as not being taken seriously. (alltho this might just be Ysengrin's general bad temper, it would be rather fitting for the forest to actually care about such things) Of course, being the prankster he is, and because he likes Annie, Coyote won't be too offended (and certainly won't openly act offended), but he still makes her feel it somehow. This might be far sought maybe, but for some reason i felt that the wonky symbol wouldn't sit too well in the forest ever since Eglamore pointed it out.

I thought it was more like traveling through different phases of space to get to the tree.
Do you think maybe the tree is in the same place as the cherry tree? I know the cherry tree is in the Court but since it seems like it's daytime and all, unless they really did travel through time as well?

It's not daytime; the base of the tree is just glowing with warm summer magic or something.
