So what exactly *are* Karmatron Dynamics? (Assuming that they're real and not something that Tom made up for the webcomic.)
But this is getting all the more exciting. It's just like Annie to refuse to let things end here and pull Kat off for one last proper meeting with Alistair (which will doubtless lead to the revelation of exactly who or what he really is).
Annie watching as Kat's head sinks lower and lower is a particularly nice touch.

Well *obviously* it has to do with karma, since missing a class would have to do with its theory... perhaps it's just a moral education class but classier.

Naturally I turned to Wikipedia and Google. Scrolling through a lot of confusing pages. A giant robot from a Mexican comic? A sci-fi anime thingie? At this point I remembered that this was not Dresden Codak, and turned to the Gunnerkrigg comments box. Where it was explained. Apparently its the anime thing - fate seems to be it. And somebody got resurrected by karmatron science. Presumably you could blame missing your class on the karmatrons or something? Annie as immutable force. It turned out to be an alien place, I would not want to live there. Anyway, hurrah for Annie! Doing the right thing/being good for people etc. |

A horrifying reveal of Aly's true nature as they visit him when he's unprepared!?
Time will tell. I'm hedging on option two, though.

Yay! I was hoping Annie would do something. It wouldn't be like her to not take action. Great job on this page. Up until the fourth panel, Annie feels sorry for Kat, but after that it's clear she's getting annoyed (who wouldn't, yeesh.) And I love the " Eventually" time stamp! ;D No idea about this Karmatron Dynamics, but I doubt it matters. |
