Go Annie! The look on the robot guard non-existent faces? Priceless. Ahhhahahaha the Admin is AWESOME Tom! He's almost my favorite character in this chapter- only Real-Wolf Reynardine is cooler.
Reynardine sure is acting kind and cooperative for Annie, that's a bit unusual.
Methinks the robots put a bit too much faith in the inability of humans to enter their complex.
((whew, back into a position where I can post these- work has been killing me))

Ah, there's the side-saddle riding.
Anyhow, I gotta agree, the Administrator robot is great. I don't know how you did it, but you gave a robot with no (apparent) moving faceparts a wide variety of expressions.
And finally, panel five is especially awesome.

Oh, hey, I didn't notice the side-saddle until you pointed it out. Good call on that, and she does look more natural that way. (It fits Annie's character better.)

The problem with side saddle is that it is much, much harder to hold on, You can't grip with your thighs! There is a reason only proper ladies rode like that: they never needed to move faster than a walk.
I suppose Annie could get a rather good grip of Reynardine's fur, though. That'd probably help.

I laughed when the robot-guards described running as their "one true weakness".
And the robot-administrator bidding farewell to Annie and commenting about how polite she was (an accurate observation) was also a lot of fun.

Ha, yeah, this chapter is far more fluid, and way more tongue-in-cheek than any other (except Dr. Disaster, of course). Can't say that's a bad thing, but I'm looking forward to more Swordgirl.

I'm really liking panel one. Really gives off the feel of intense, crazy speed.

EDIT: Idea probably already put forward elsewhere; Reynardine MUST want Annie to be alive, or he could have turned into a wolf and savaged her at any time. Remember, he can do stuff as long as she doesn't tell him NOT to do it.

Like Aspen said up top, he's suddenly being nice. What happened to him being a murderous demon who would steal bodies without any thought to the death of the host? Now he's a "slave" chum of Antimony.
This reminds me of "Lenore, the Cute Little Dead Girl", where the cute little dead girl brings a vampire back to life (but the vampire is cursed to be forever stuck in a doll), and the first thing the vampire does is tries to eat the little girl, but being a doll and being unable to do so, it instead becomes her best friend.
The guard robots are great, by the way.

Words to live by. ;D It was implied that Reynardine isn't able to harm Annie while stuck in a toy that belongs to her, even if she did not give specific instructions not to harm her. And it seems that right now being stuck with Antimony is actually beneficial for Reynardine. She's protecting him from Eglamore and the other teachers who would just as soon kill him. I'm guessing he's biding his time for now, watching and waiting... |

It was especially weird when he said he wouldn't mind watching Antimony and Kat kissing. Even if it wasn't a pedophilic thing to say (assuming he's not somehow also a teenager), why would he be interested in human girls kissing, anyway?
I wish I could remember who Surma is supposed to be.

I don't think he likes sweet emotional moments, so it could have been his rather uncivilized way of changing the subject. Given how things had turned out for him recently, he was probably feeling pretty darn bitter as well. Heh, it was pretty hilarious. Annie and Kat's reactions were perfect. I love how Tom turned an otherwise crude, ordinary joke into awesome character development. |

I suspect that it was a bit like "Spike stuck with that chip in his head" (fans of "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" will know what I'm talking about); Reynardine can no longer go out and actually be a "Big Bad Demon" because of Annie's hold over him, so he has to content himself with making sarcastic remarks (though, after Annie hears what he says and places her sentence upon him, he can't even do that!).
I was amused by the way that Reynardine was grinning in that scene when Annie forbade him to speak - almost as if he was thinking "Hey, it was worth it."
