TBeholder is right, there is an old thread where this dead Model H was thoroughly beaten.

EDIT: Long Reynardine-related post deleted so as not to derail thread, per ariskatsaris' suggestion.

1) He wanted them to think he was dead, so trying to reason with Annie for cooperation wouldn't have helped his final goal
2) Eglamore would not believe that he would just suddenly decide to suicide after how hard he has fought the last 5 years
3) There WAS no mark on the toy until after Reynardine possesses it, hides in it, and is outed by Zimmy. (source)
4) Reynardine curses Annie in Ch 7 for spoiling what he calls the perfect disguise... I don't believe that he just happened to end up in the perfect disguise by chance.
5) Coyote makes it very clear in Ch 20 that there's no way that Reynardine would try to posses "you, of all people"
6) Anything that Reynardine could possess, be it a living or nonliving item, could be said to "belong" to somebody... a painting, their body, a potato, or whatever, has an owner just like Annie's doll has an owner... therefore I suspect that there's something special about this wolf doll, and the fact that it was made by Surma, that causes Reynardine to be unable to possess something/one else. The fact that he didn't know Surma made the body when he jumped into it therefore explains why he would voluntarily possess something that he couldn't escape from.
I could go on and find/provide more evidence, but this really isn't the thread for this conversation.

And I too was composing my reply when you posted the one just above mine, so... yeah. That's enough about Reynardine.

*sigh* Your life is so hard, pepo.
We'd already consigned ourselves to stop talking about the Reynardine thing, so you didn't have to post... especially not to just repeat something I had just said.
But that's okay, you can be the guy that sighs and straightens everything/one out if you want, if that's worth something to ya.

#72: I originally thought that Annie was displaying a variety of murder tools. I later figured that "hospital equipment for various disgusting but necessary procedures" was a better fit, given Annie's hospital background and surgeon father.

This is in an interesting discussion, therefore please start a new thread about it. And once you've posted your own comments in the new thread, delete those comments from here. There - problem solved.

[73]: Zimmy and Gamma have surrounded themselves with books before letting Gamma fall asleep. This seems the first of two significant hints (the other one being #190) that books may act as a defense from the monsters and therefore be a "safe" place for Gamma to sleep.
On another note regarding [73], why the hell does the poster above them say "Danger, insect"?

Maybe because of the huge insect crawling out of the wall in 190?

That's an interesting idea, about books providing protection. I hadn't noticed that, but those two hints do mesh well.

Holy cow! It all makes sense now! I've been wondering why would they be going to a library (I initially thought they had a school homework or something...) Great theory, and one that is most likely true!

I agree about the library theory. I'm surprised that I never thought about that before. In fact I think that I never really registered the significance of the line "We were almost to the library..." which would make this a true 'cool thing I only noticed on re-read'!

Hmmm... It's funny, I'd already made that observation, but I was under the assumption that everyone else had already done so as well. Maybe it's just me, I tend to dwell more on words than images. From here on out, I shall adjust my estimations of human abilities of observation.

My day is not complete if I've not made at least one person adjust downwards his opinion of humanity.

To be entirely honest, I am amazed that you were able to do so. I think my perception of humanity was pretty much the lowest it could possibly be, but apparently it can go a little deeper.

The Deluge came about because people kept missing a lot of details in the cuneiform comic Gilgamesh's Flippy Adventure. In particular, that the lammasus had a chipped claw on page 144, panel 6.

God was all "OH SO THAT'S HOW IT'S GONNA BE"
He doesn't react well to having his opinion of humanity adjusted downwards through lack of webcomic perception.

Gilgamesh isn't a comic...
He's a musician. Plays a pretty mean guitar.

I actually understood those references, but it was still kind of random/unnecessary, and a little incoherent. Essentially, Per's saying that the forty day/forty night flood in the bible was brought about because God was unhappy at the lack of attention payed to webcomics and their artistic foreshadowing, and sent it out of spite.

Well in the spirit of staying on track, and keeping my other selves pleased ;p
#321: I didn't realize at first that the girls were on a moving sidewalk, and Red was lying down on the handrail instead.
#326: Barberbot looks as though he used to have something there on his chest, like a patch, nameplate, or ensignia. Combined that with the X on his head and the shadowy, gunky, almost Zimmy-like blackness on his back-arms. It makes me wonder if he had a life before barbery.

Some things I noticed...
- On page 3 there is a '3' at the bottom. This is the only numbered page (that I've noticed).
- There's a cat on Kat's anti-grav unit here.
- amtinomy

It's unquestionably different, but when I see it I can't help but be reminded of a triskele.
It's above the door in the Donlan's place too. Inside and out; here and here/here.

It also has a variant which can be found above the door here in panels 2 and 4
The triangle thingy is used a lot in a book called the "Museum of Lost Wonder" (which is where I got my meager knowledge in few alchemical areas) which is one of the reasons why it caught my eye. there are also many other symbols that are really, really subtle that I have questions about.
I've been meaning to ask Tom about these, but it seems that someone has locked the "Questions to Tom" thread.... did Tom just get annoyed at the questions he was getting? or is he just off somewhere and doesn't want to have to answer a half billion questions when he gets back?

We tended towards hijacking of the thread when anyone asked something we felt particularly obvious, so he naturally got irritated and locked it. Not the first time, either.

I had a dream last night that I was watching Toy Story and noticed a scene where in the background you could see Annie lying in a bed looking ill with Kat next to her looking worried, the boy from the science fair whose entry was destroyed standing near by, and Zimmy and Gamma standing on either side of the bed. Then I was like oh yeah I read somewhere that Tom Siddell worked on Toy Story but I never noticed he did a Gunnerkrigg Cameo, I should post this in the "Things I only noticed on reread" thread.
I have such stupid dreams.
