...And now I bid thee adieu for the treacherously long and activity-filled weekend of Toycon (and prep day). See y'all Monday and I'm expecting a blow-by-blow account of Friday's battle

I love cows! They're awesome, especially with some steak sauce, and a baked potato.
Also, Jojo's Bizarre Adventure for the win! I wonder what kind of Stand Eglamore would have.

Okay, I'm gonna just come out and say this because someone has to.
I hate cows.
I HATE cows.
I JUST FREAKIN' HATE COWS!!!!!
They're creepy. Like, really really creepy the way they stand there with their blank zombie stars and their deformed-looking swollen bodies. I ain't goin' near any goddamn cows. I don't even wanna see 'em. The same goes for sheep, but to a lesser extent.

Now I've got that out of my system, anyone remember page 29? Janet, John, Willie and Paz all staring in wonderment at Basil. Is this the origin of her bovithusiasm?

What are those things sticking out of the ground in panel four? See them? They look like fence posts scattered about and cut at sharp angles.

They could sleep inside the cows!
Mind, you'd have to gut them like a Tauntaun.

Cows are substantially less cute on the inside.

I guess cows are pretty exciting when the closest thing to a living animal inside the Court is a demon-possessed toy wolf that you'll probably never see.
Either that or Paz is just really enthusiastic about everything.

Who is Paz?? Another student who we have met somewhere? We saw her in the background before this, but we were first introduced to her back in chapter 4 with the creepy clown circus. And haven't seen too too much of her since. ... Okay, she's friggen ADORABLE in today's, though. Cows!

Probably chopped down trees, the little ones like the fall down like that. Or maybe something completely ridiculous that I'd never think of. We shall inevitably see. On that point, there really isn't alot to speculate about is there. I mean, Cows! Pretty straight-forward, unless they're evil cows.

The wooden things looked like tent pegs to me. For... invisible tents?
Also that last panel is adorable. Cows!

Yup, and it's interesting to note that even though we haven't really seen her since Ch 4, she is on the Cast page, even while John, Margo, Matt, and Jack are not. This is because Paz is inherently awesome. I think it's the haircut that does it. Or perhaps it is soymilk's marvelous rendition of the character that really sealed it for me personally.

Maybe Paz has never been to the countryside before. Cows are pretty rare in the city, except cut into little bits. Or maybe it's the whole country - I don't know how many cows there are in Spainland, there could be one lonely cow in the middle of the country hoping for some friends.
Or she's a massive fan of dairy products and is going to go around thanking the cows for all their good work.
Either way, I've never seen anyone get so excited about farm animals. Paz is adorable.

It would seem that you've never seen young city children (not that they are young here) in the country before. I had to help my mother with a field trip for her Kindergarten class that went out to a farm just a few kilometers away. Part of my community service; we need forty hours to graduate. The sheer joy on their faces when they saw a cow was comparable to a girl my age getting a love letter from that guy in Twilight, Robert Pattinson or whatever his name was. That is to say, it essentially made their lives more complete than anything they could have ever imagined would be able to. And I think that Spain has several cows within its borders, although there are only a few dozen, and they have to be spread out so that everyone gets their fair share. The day that the cow comes is one of great celebration, and for Paz, seeing so many at one time is incomparable to any other event.

Those aren't cows, Paz. Those are mechanical monstrosities, and they have but one priority: to disappoint you.
