That form is scary, but the flower kind of offsets it a little.
Just a little.

I hate to be the one who says "I called it", but I did call it about Jack was bearing down on her and pinning her against the wall.
P.S.: Reynardine is not amused.

I kinda liked the guy but is anyone else as excited as I am for Annie to have a true antagonist?

I hope Rey doesn't eat Jack for acting like a creep to Annie. All those nightmares and stress will only make him bland-tasting and stringy.

Yeah, I scrolled down fast enough that I was actually startled. I can't even think of another time that I was actually startled by a static illustration.

Ahaha, that's Reynardine's best form yet. Now Jack can go back to being non-creepy.

Jack, whatever you do next, do not turn around, for your own sake! O.O
I don't care about the flower behind his ear, nor the fangs almost as long as Jack's digits. But those eyes... oh my. Burning anger has rarely been illustrated so excellently.

Time to find out if Zimmy's little world of wonders has screwed with the survival instincts of this boy. I hope Rey doesn't eat Jack for acting like a creep to Annie. All those nightmares and stress will only make him bland-tasting and stringy. I think we have learned from "Pâté de foie gras" and KFC that torture makes for delicious eating. But geting all that blood off his fur would be problematic.

He justs wants answers is all. Sure, ZimCity obviously had negatie side effects, and he's got Annie against a wall, but you're going to eat him, Rey? Come on, man!

I was actually about to quote your other post to congratulate you but then I saw this and decided it was close enough. Well done Also, yes. That flower is rather jarring in contrast to the rest of Rey's shape. Kinda does make him more scary. I also agree that he's just looking for answers. I doubt Reynardine will actually eat anyone, but I'm sure he's attempting to freak out Jack a bit. I also think Annie will be freaked out. I don't think she was quite expecting thiiissssss.

Jack probably is just looking for answers, yes. But he's also giving off serious "blahaha I've gone completely mad" vibes. The shuffling walk and creepy grin (in the previous comic), the backing Annie right up to the wall...I don't blame Rey for going into full-out "watch it bub" mode.

*Sigh.*
Oh Jack, you just had to be an idiot, didn't you?
I think it's for the best Reynardine intervened, really. Given what we know about how Annie values her personal space and how poorly she takes to being imposed against her will (She even killed her friendship with Mort cold over that.)... I'd say Jack was 10 seconds away, at most, from having something very bad happen to him.

Well it seems I stand corrected. *Sigh.* Oh Jack, you just had to be an idiot, didn't you? I think it's for the best Reynardine intervened, really. Given what we know about how Annie values her personal space and how poorly she takes to being imposed against her will (She even killed her friendship with Mort cold over that.)... I'd say Jack was 10 seconds away, at most, from having something very bad happen to him. Annie really doesn't have much over Jack on social skills. Or subtlety. And yeah, Jack's getting too pushy, but can you really blame him? I mean, if you randomly got teleported into a city of faceless monsters without any warning or explanation upon returning, you'd probably be pretty edgy, too. I just hope he doesn't push his luck any farther and lose any chance he may have of getting any answers.

Poor Jack; he doesn't seem to have any luck with the ethereal. First he's zapped into a spooky town filled with walking nightmares against his will, and now a psycho wolf doll with a keen fashion sense is ready to maul him.
I think Rey looks rather cute with that flower on his head. Now I wish Ysengrin would take to wearing cute stuff like that more often. I'm sure Coyote wouldn't mind for a good laugh.

i don't know, i'm not seeing jack as being an antagonist, nor a real threat to annie. he looks terrified. whatever happened to him in zimmingham probably messed him up beyond all repair, but i don't think evil. i think the guy just wants an explanation.
maybe he's just being a tad too overzealous about getting one.
also hey first post.

I'd say Jack was 10 seconds away, at most, from having something very bad happen to him. The point is, Rey is overreacting. Yes, Jack is out of line, but he's hardly going to physically assault Annie, and even if so, we know that Annie can take care of her own if he did. Rey certainly gives off the impression that he's going to do quite a bit more than giving Jack a good scare, and I hope Annie is going to put a stopper to both of them with a firm "Back off!" before things escalate. Either that or Kat comes along to defuse the situation. There's a lot of "not-ending-well" potential, indeed! In more than one way.

I kinda liked the guy but is anyone else as excited as I am for Annie to have a true antagonist? She's had one for ages. His name's Ysengrin. And she doesn't have a new one now. Not yet, anyway. Jack has some issues with personal space. He needs to back off, and Rey is getting that hint across to him in his usual, unsubtle way. I don't think he plans to kill Jack. He just wants to make it plain that Jack's distinctly out-of-line. Jack isn't giving Annie a chance to answer. He's just pushing himself in on her, in a potentially aggressive and dangerous manner. He needs to be reminded that he's overstepping the bounds of civilized behavior. And he needs to give Annie time to actually answer his questions, rather than looking like he's about to mug her.
