jump jump jump jumpDouble cross country? That's some athleticism, Jimmy. And hey! The bridge doesn't have any lights!

I wonder if that dragon-like creature is Sivo . The bridge might have lights. It's possible you can't see them because Dogwood 1 is far from the bridge and it's during the day, so it makes no sense to turn on the lights maybe. Also: Jumping guy, flying guy and escaping guy. Tom makes me laugh so much with those comments sometimes

That must be what double cross country is for.

I think the bridge actually does have lights. If you look closely at the top, you see a bunch of vertical lines resembling a fence, except we know all too well that the bridge lacks any sort of guardrail. However, I am curious what else the Court has by way of bridge defenses. EDIT: Fixed spelling of "too."

Yin must post so quickly she hardly has time to study the page <3 Totally has lights. It seems that IS a Rogat Orjak, even if it is not Sivo. But I hope it is! Sivo is somebody I was super hoping to meet for reals in this flashback. Doesn't look like we'll actually meet him, but I'll be satisfied with this glimpse But with this0 it occures to me we really dont know much about Sivo at all. I mean, Rogat Orjak seem like they would be creatures of the forest. What are they doing befriending court folk?

Living in a forest seems like a strange change of habitat. Then again, I suppose that they're sapient.

I studied the page a bit, hence the modification. Clearly I must inspect every inch of the page after posting, and then modify with my observations half an hour after the fact.

Tom said anyway that Rogat Orjaks don't live in Gillitie Wood (in the questions thread).

Sivo spoke Slovenian so it wouldn’t be too far-fetched to assume he was from Slovenia.

Epic jumping skills he got there. For a second I thought he was jumping to the flying creature, or that the creature was something he conjured up.
I'm kinda hoping the second wood dog gets away.

Better yet, you should sneak into Tom's house and get a sneak peek at each page so you have the jump on everyone. Then you can make the threads before the page has even updated!! Also: New Avatar. Also Also Edit: I briefly considered that Thorn was actually turning into the creature, but I figured Tom would have made it clearer if that were actually occurring and it would have made Thorn so awesome he wouldn't be contained by this comic anymore.

Okay, you know, my love for GC doesn't extend into breaking and entering. I'm considering making a thread entitled 'The End', though, so we can all discuss it preemptively

tyler, that's what I thought at first too, but I agree, Tom would have made that way more awesome if it was so.
That was quite possibly the best single bound EVER.

So, if he's jumping up there because he rides on the rogat orjak, then that changes things a little.
I mean, they wouldn't be dragon slayers so much as dragon sleigh-ers!

*groans* Casey, the pun thread was a while back... My impression was that Sivo was Eglamore's friend in specific, and that Thorn would have his own Rogat Orjak friend. It might be the same, though. I still like my idea that in order to be inducted into this order of dragon sleigh-ers, one must befriend and be mentored/taught by a Rogat Orjak, who will then be a lifelong companion. I'm probably wrong, as usual, but that would be cool.

I thought of the Thorn/rogat orjak too. Then I looked and realized that wasn't how the panel was.
And is anyone else irrationally fond of the first dogtree like me? I mean, it beat up a chainsawbot! That's b.a.

Great, now they will always be dragon sleigh-ers, whether we like it or not. I think that the idea of a Rogat Orjak mentor is cool, but it would mean that Thorn's wouldn't be Sivo. Or maybe it was, and Sivo just took Eglamore under his wing after Thorn died. If he did, which I assume he would have sometime between now and the present time in the comic.

Still think things are not what they seem, with respect to different armor. Not sure though. Also, is that dragon actually real, or just an illusion or trick of the light? We hadn't exactly seen the chap beforehand.

but it would mean that Thorn's wouldn't be Sivo. I know I should be the last one to criticize someone about this, but wanting something to be true doesn't necessarily mean that it will be We hadn't exactly seen the chap beforehand. He was in the air, we were looking at the dogtrees on the ground. Besides, he presumably only arrived when Thorn did, by which point we had more interesting things to look at.

I love the robot shaking its fists at the escaping dog in the 7th panel. Reminds me of these guys. So do you think there are any Shadowpeople on the one that escaped?

Well, we weren't shown any panels of the first Dogwood with eyes peeking out between the trees, so we can't say. There's no evidence to suggest that the first dog has them, but they could be less interested in giving themselves away on the first one.

Ummm, if the other one wasn't holding shadow people, what was the point of it even going there?

Decoy? Running interference? Advance scout?

We don't even actually know if the second one was taking the shadow people out of the Court or if their being left behind was intentional or not, like the seeds Ysengrim left behind. So really, the first one could be a decoy/distraction if we look at it that way.
We don't know that shadow people was the point. That's just one possibility. Don't mistake speculation for what Tom's actually shown us.

If it was a decoy, I think it would be attempting to save the shadowpeople who were scattered off after the other bonsaiwolf was crushed. Instead, it is going for the bridge. I think it's probably trying to get its own load of shadowpeople back safely to the forest.

I think it's probably trying to get its own load of shadowpeople back safely to the forest. But if it was trying to do hold the robots off while bonsaiwolf #2 delivered the shadowpeople to the Court, as tyler suggested, then it has done its job and needs to get home. A thought I had: Ysengrin said he had command of the trees of Gillitie Wood. This makes me wonder if the bonsaiwolfs are actually sentient or just puppets of Ysengrin.

Oh, that's clever. But then why would Thorn ignore the escaping shadowpeople...
