I did a Google search for wire stripper injury, and wire stripper wound, and found no interesting results. Disappointing.

I guess anyone with "Injury by wire stripper" would be considered the laughing stock of the Electrical Engineering Community.

I assure you that those things can be mighty painful. Wouldn't want that on the tip of my finger, no sir. Then again they really don't need to be opened up that wide.
And yeah, hilarious page. I really didn't expect Kat to get angry like this.

I'd speculated earlier (much earlier) that Coyote's motive for inviting Annie into the woods was to subtly turn her against Reynardine and create (or widen) a rift between them, that would wear away Reynardine's reluctance to leave the Court (since Coyote thinks - perhaps with some justice - that Reynardine refuses to go back to the woods because of his attachment to Annie).
This page gives some support to that suspicion (or at least, suggests that even if it wasn't Coyote's plan, that's the result).

Well, some awkwardness between Annie and Rey was to be expected. Rey knows Coyote well enough to assume he'll at least drop some big hints regarding his past - rightfully so as we know. And Annie is just socially inept enough to be unsure how to deal with the gained information. They'll talk it over, eventually, I'm sure.

I love how Tom has put in the details of the wire snapper clicking with every movement. that happens a lot with the real ones [or any similar multi part tool] any time it moves.
Does anyone notice how Kat resembles Anja in the 2nd last panel?

Kat is a medium! She helps others get along comfortably. She also looks like her Mum.

I laughed so hard to this one. Is this the first time we've seen low-detail Reynardine? They look so bashful in the last panel.
With respect to wire stripper injuries, at the very least Kat could use it as a ranged or melee bludgeoning device. That encourages friendship really hard.
Finally, with the skirt, jacket, and shirt, Annie now looks like a Jedi.

At the very least, it's the first low-detail Big Reynardine. I'm pretty sure there's been some of his plushie form.
We should hope Annie and Reynardine talk things over, for everyone's sake.

Oh man I laughed out loud at this one. This one is now in my top 10 best pages ever. I just love how Kat forces them to "make up" which just makes the situation worse. The expressions on all of them are just priceless, but the last panel is just great. Rey's droopy ears are a nice touch.

Now that I think about it, Rey has killed several individuals and even attempted to kill Annie. And Kat wonders why they aren't being friendly? The weird thing is that they got to the point of being friends in the first place.

They always knew he was a demon who kills the bodies he takes. I think what's new and awkward is that he was in love with her mother. He could be her father. (isn't but could be)
OR something unrelated happened

I have a friend who's like that whenever people she knows fight. It made it funnier for me. =P

The weird thing is that they got to the point of being friends in the first place. And relatively quickly, at that. My guess is that Annie and Rey had more or less put that behind them...but Coyote has a talent for bringing things back to the surface. Also, the fact that Rey did try to kill her is really at odds with the fact that he loved her mother...that's got to be confusing. That said, wire-stripped-wielding Kat made me laugh. That might rate a costume all its own. Kat, if you keep closing your eyes like that, they're gonna get stuck...

An additional possible reason for Reynardine being worried: now that Annie knows enough of his backstory to be all the more uneasy about him, will she be so inclined to stand up for him the next time Eglamore and the Donlans express their concern about her keeping him? (For that matter, it's been suggested in the past that Annie was doing so more out of the fear that if she turned Reynardine over to them, she'd never know what the link was between him and her mother than out of humanitarian reasons. Now that she knows what the link is - and probably feels creeped out by it....)

Thanks, Per, for crushing my dreams. Strange that I didn't notice Lo-Fi Big Rey before.
I really want to see Annie and Reynardine talk this one out. The latter has certainly had his opportunities to share his side of the story, and it's worrying and sad to see him repeatedly declining to do so. I hope this chapter sees their conversation.
Also, Tom updated the chapter list on the bottom, and the picture for "Blinking" is from a panel we've yet to see!

Thanks to azeltir for pointing this out: I think the woman on the left is Anja. She has the same hair, and the floor has her symbol on it. She did say she would teach Annie how to use the blinker stone. That leaves the guy. Perhaps Donald? Now wait as Tom blows my theory out of the water.

I thought that the figures in the small panel were Annie and Kat, but it *is* hard to tell.

I think it's Surma and Rey (in a human body)! The right one at least seems to be masculine to me.

If you look at the woman's hair, twists of it seem to be sticking out. Anja's hair also does this, as can be seen here. I would put money that that's Donald she's holding hands with.
