Hmm. I wonder what Annie's going to do with that beacon she didnt use. We never saw her give it back.
And biggerj wins an internet cookie.

Oh Coyote, you wacky trickster. Hmm. I wonder what Annie's going to do with that beacon she didnt use. We never saw her give it back. It will probably show up at some unexpected time later in the story, just as we've all forgotten about it completely, as per jigsaw puzzle plot protocol.

Chekhov's recall beacon! Kudos to whoever said in the comment page about the fingerprint good prediction! I love TV Tropes. It's so applicable to real life! And thank you, Mr. Checkhov, for your fine arsenal of literary weaponry.

I just looked back at the page where Eglamore gives Annie the beacon, he says that when she uses it, he'll be able to find her and be there in five seconds. I wonder if that means that Eglamore has the power of teleportation, or the beacon itself does. It will be interesting to see where and when it gets used by Annie in the story, as it most certainly shall.

I'd guess that he holds the "other end" of the thing, or that the stick is in some other way linked to him. Personal teleportation at will is a bit too much unlike anything we've seen in the Court. Not that that means much.
