I get the feeling Annie would have been much more polite if Ysengrin hadn't made that comment. So that means she specifically said that to get back at him for ragging on Eglamore.

I love how Annie is acting more mature than "General" Ysengrin.

Oooh dear. This is probably my favorite line of Annie's as yet. Eggers trying to keep from laughing is pretty damn great too. Silly Ys and his lack of appreciation for a good burn.

What's this strange greenish glow that hangs around Ysengrin? He didn't have it when he visited the court with Coyote.

The glow only shows up when Ysengrin heads into the forest with Annie in the last three panels (it isn't there in the earlier panels that feature him on this page), so it might be coming from the woods rather than from him. (Green would be an appropriate color for the forest glow, since it's traditionally symbolic of vegetation.)

Look like a art-related character-hilighting background-thingy. I doubt he is literaly glowing.

Given the dark shadows of the forest at that time of night, it would've been very hard to pick out Ys and Annie heading into the distance. I figure Tom did that so we could see them heading further into the wood. And yeah, Ys got quite burned there.

And people think Annie doesn't have a sense of humor.

That shut him up good.
Actually, it's a good point to wonder if the trees are moving. Ysengrin does say that "Now the very trees of Gillitie are under my command!" when he boasts to Reynard. It makes me wonder what he CAN do with the trees.

That affinity makes even more sense in the context of this strip: the trees of Gillitie are Coyote's bones, Ysengrim is his, well, boner. ;D /ducks and runs from the pun police/
