You are! My, Reynardine is a Nervous Nelly all of a sudden. I love that look on his face in the last panel. He KNOWS he's a doomed stuffed animal.

Odd. I thought he would have protested Annie's visit to Coyote more. It seems like he wants to protest, but he can't for some reason.

It seems that if he protested more, some rather unsavoury things would have to slip out about his history. Curious minds and all that.
Also, he seems somewhat caught off guard, so that might be it. He obviously didnt expect it be so soon, and it certainly doesn't give a guy much time to prepare for every possible scenario. Im expecting some juicy stuff to slip out about ol' Reynard in this chapter.

This comic poses a lot of questions, but overwhelmed by cuteness of hobo-rey, i can think only of one:
Will Rey get felting in the washing machine?

I really want to find out what it is that Reynardine doesn't want Anny to hear ;D

SNEAKY MYSTERIES!
Also, I imagine Kat is a torture Goddess. The Madgirl types usually are.

I imagine various macabre mechanimations to dry the late Reynardine once he is free of the machine.

I win! I totally win! Weee! Reynardine gets a free washing-machine/dryer ride! -- in a totally trivial way on a totally trivial issue. At least until Annie says, "No -- he's too fragile. Just wipe him with a damp cloth." *sigh* Someday, I hope to correctly make an out-of-left-field prediction on any of my webcomics.

This is a good comic, but I'm a little worried for Annie. That formal outfit doesn't include trousers, you know!

I wonder what would happen if Rey tries to change his shape in the washing machine.
It doesn't sound funny for him...

Looking at the "trousers" comic, I wonder why Coyote addressed Antimony as Abalone.

Reynardine seems startled and a little disturbed that Annie's going into the forest. Yet, he holds his peace. He has some objection, but chooses not to voice it.
Perhaps the washing machine threat will inspire him to volunteer to accompany Annie as bodyguard....

Looking at the "trousers" comic, I wonder why Coyote addressed Antimony as Abalone. Probably because Coyote is a right dingleberry and it was either a subtle joke/insult or he can't be bothered to remember someone's name on first meeting.

I have a hard time imagining Annie wearing trousers - she seems far too suited to long skirts. And we might be taking her words to Coyote too seriously.
I can't blame Reynardine for being concerned; I'd be cautious about accepting Coyote's invitation too. What we saw of him in Chapter Fourteen suggests that he had ulterior motives. I assume he'll keep his word about doing no harm to her, but he could have more subtle plans in mind. Remember that his goal is to get Reynardine to come back to the forest, and he knows that Annie has something to do with his decision to stay at the Court. Maybe he intends to reveal something to her that could turn her against Reynardine (and Reynardine might well suspect that, in light of his alarm).
I hope that Annie isn't coming across too much here like the dim-witted hero walking into an obvious trap (since it's safe to assume that nearly all of the readers are suspicious of Coyote's motives). She's walked into traps before (such as her first meeting with Reynardine in Chapter Three), but they were carefully disguised then (both to her and to the readers). Though since Jones has supported the idea of the meeting, it can't be that dangerous.

...Assuming that Jonas isn't part of the plan.
Don't forget, she's not one of the Court.. she's not one of the forest either, but we do know so little about her, who can tell?

Will Rey get felting in the washing machine? I wonder far more whether a stuffed toy that is possessed by a demon spirit can get motion sickness... ;D

The subtle joke/insult is what I'm wondering about, especially as English isn't my first language so I'm vaguely annoyed that I can't place it anywhere. Haha, maybe I should ask in the Ask Tom thread.

I wonder far more whether a stuffed toy that is possessed by a demon spirit can get motion sickness... ;D If he can run without accelerated respiration 'cause he hasn't any lungs, it's safe to assume he has not any stomach to get motion sickness from. Given also that we never ever had seen him eat. Also, on this whole discussion, LAUGHING ON LINE.

Strangely enough, in the last panel, Kat looks like she is about to rip Reynardine in half by the ears.
And Reynardine looks as if he knows its about to happen.

...ah.... leaving Kat behind might mean no antigrav bike which makes me wonder, how is she getting there? I can't picture her just walking the bridge, as well the Court staff just letting her go... maybe she has to use the blinker stone to request a meeting? Would Anja already teached her how to do that? so many questions... and it's Friday... Happy Halloween everyone

My guess is that Jones will walk her over the bridge. This is also what I would presume, since Reynardine refers to Antimony as being dressed "formally" (ie, formally representing the Court), I doubt they would allow her to merely masquerade as a representative. The fact that she has the formal 'uniform' suggests to me that she has the backing of somebody in authority. Whether that authority is given by Jones or just reenforced by Jones is something we will probably find out in the next few chapters.

nah. i think them lockpicks woulda been stainless steel.

Post by agasa on Nov 1, 2008 13:17:10 GMT
Lockpics cannot be stainless steel: it's not springy enough. They need to be tempered steel, better if with some cobalt. So, it's better if Rey gives them back before washing, else he will get all brownish-red and ferric-oxidish. Poor Rey.
