Whoa.Uh, I guess we'll go find Kat, person who can look threatening without changing her expression at all.

You tell it like it is, Annie! I wonder why her cut is always visible when Zimmy's mind powers come into play? And once again, Annie was without her eye shadow when something bad happened.....

She hasn't really lost her eye shadow yet. It's sort of dripping down the sides of her face.

Man you can tell the strength of this reality warp. Annie's touch aint doin nuthin to that pipe.
"First we find Kat." You don't mess with that face.
I for one am looking forward to seeing Janet take out any ghoulies that may pop out of the walls.

Now that is pretty unreasonable of Annie. They don't have the first clue where to look for whom, so how can they possibly look for any person in particular? All they can do is look for someone. What are they gonna do if they're "looking for Kat" and happen to bump into Willie for example? Say "sorry Willie, you're gonna have to wait right there, we're looking for Kat right now"?

Annie is INTENSE. Wow.
Behold the power of friendship! I never thought I'd see her grab someone in a threatening manner...unless you count Willie.

I guess this little expedition is starting to influence Annie to the path of juvenile delinquency, threatening people and such. Soon she'll be cussing people out, using a completely civil tone, of course.

I'm so excited to see what happens! I agree about seeing Janet fight things. Aw, wouldn't it be sweet if William tried to defend her?

Well, you've got to think of the alliteration. A number of chapters ago, Annie fell off a bridge and Kat was awfully resolute about finding her with her helicopter....plane.....thing. They're tight, yo. Z's pointy teeth and creepy hollow eyes can wait.

ya know, kat might have the best idea about what to do to get back, with the possible exception of Gamma.

Holy S***!!! I didn't think things would be that bad. What a marvelous plot twist. And you just have to love that last panel.

This universe isn't being disrupted by Annie touching it. Even Zimmy's clothes. That's bad. It may have stopped being an illusion.

I wonder which of them is right. At first I thought that Zimmy had made a good point; being reunited with Gamma might be the only way of undoing what just happened. Then I wondered whether if Zimmy was reunited with Gamma before all the other children were found, the ones who hadn't been found would be left behind in the city. We don't know yet which is the case; we'll just have to wait and find out.

I think that the guys "left back" would be re-put in the Court in the relative positions they got in the, as i'll call it, City of Suck. Meaning, if they were up a building in the CoS, they'll get suspended in the air in the re-enter to the Court, followed by a possibly harmful fall. Given obviously that the CoS is not in a dream-like plane, which is a possibility, altho i find it less charming.
Also, Annie is not really frozen in expression in the last panel: the left eye is SLIGHTLY twitched. Also Also...i did not realize Annie was so tall, at least in comparison to Zimmy. The last time seemed not so...Explanation?

ya know, kat might have the best idea about what to do to get back, with the possible exception of Gamma. I don't think Kat would be particularly helpful in this situation, considering her problems with the etheric design. Actually I'd think she's probably rather freaked out right now. I don't think Gamma has any more a clue about what's actually going on or what to do about it than anybody else. See her answer to Zimmy in #192: "How do you do that?" - "I don't know." This universe isn't being disrupted by Annie touching it. Even Zimmy's clothes. That's bad. It may have stopped being an illusion. It never was just an illusion. Quote Zimmy from strip #191: "When it gets bad things start to change, like for real". Keep in mind that Zimmy has experience with this kind of thing. It has happened to her before, frequently from all we know. I would think she has a pretty good idea of how to deal with the situation.

Also Also...i did not realize Annie was so tall, at least in comparison to Zimmy. The last time seemed not so...Explanation? Annie isn't tall, Zimmy is just smaller than other girls at her age. It's difficult to find a good example in the archives since Zimmy is mostly seen with Gamma who is a year older, but she is clearly intended to be rather small.

aye, thanks for clarifying, Tom, Sir. If it's so, i agree. Angry Annie is downright creepy.
Or maybe, that's her angry face, that means she's always angry!...wait, that's even more creepy.

wait, this isn't somewhere else, this is INSIDE zimmy's head. they find the source of the horrors in here, destroy it, and zimmy gets better.

I'm not sure if this is Inside zimmy head. Me thinks it's Outside her head and kinda...fused, with the rest. that's how this stuff manifests around here, it seems.

I don't know. It's definitely because of Zimmy in some way, but like she says, it's real, or might as well be. The actual location of the sudden city of suck wouldn't really be important or relevant as long as it's real for the peole in it; the important thing is getting out of there. I'm thinking Gamma will be needed. Might lead to a confrontation between them.
Edit: I was responding to starburst's post there, was just really really slow.

Agreeing with an earlier poster, I think it's a little selfish that Annie is demanding they find Kat first, despite the fact that finding Gamma might "fix" this all and leave some children stranded. Because that's just how I think.
Besides, I wouldn't be to quick to confront Zimmy in her "world". God only knows what would happen?
On another note, this town, for whatever reason, reminds me a lot of Stephen King's The Mist.
