Fashionably late, are we?EDIT: Barely half a minute of that music and I'm already picturing Zimmy dancing to it. Badly. And having a great time while she's at it.

I'm thinking, they weren't invited. Bet they came to see the experiment on their own. Zimmy strikes me as the kind of person who'd know her way around forbidden areas pretty well. Also, is she saying damn it at the other kids, or at the door? And does the site suddenly update like three hours later?

I was precisely thinking about what Zimmy's music could be, and came up with dungeon man... But Justice, it just FITS. Yay for Tom.

Oh my... that "music" absolutely fits her. I'm intrigues to see the other kids' reaction to G&Z showing up. Of course they weren't invited. I think they're the kind of people that everybody deliberately tries to keep out of the loop as much as possible. Side note: Kat looks gorgeous in panel 3.

Also, is she saying damn it at the other kids, or at the door? Maybe she's swearing at both of them? She strikes me as the kind of person who casts a wide net with their vulgarity. Also, her theme song is kickin' rad.

Zimmy's theme is SCARY AS PIE. LOCUST pie.
Pretty damn scary.
But yay! Zimmy and Gamma are here!
This is turning into a re-introductions chapter, and I like it! (Sure, there are a few new kids, but what importance could they possibly have? (note dripping sarcasm))
I've a list of things to ponder during this chapter:
I was wondering when Janet's parentage would be noted. Wonder who her mum is?
And the big thing about this page: Winsbury has been here for four pages and has not yet been a jerk. This record is matched only by Doc Disaster's chapter, and if raw awesomeness is any indication, this storyline is shaping up to be the Paragon of Awesometude.
Of course it was headed in that direction anyway.
Also I like the little ghostly lines connecting the heads of Z'n'G okay last edit I am done for now.

Think Zimmy's having another uh...'episode,' like with the storm?

Judging by the WHAM!, Zimmy attacked the door and then swore at it for not opening instantly, and then swore again when she realised there were other people there.
She looks kind of tense(r than usual). Sky's clear, though - except those clouds in the first view of the lake, but I think that's steam. Gamma looks asleep. Maybe she needs another nap and Zimmy's looking for Annie?
But then we don't know how they managed to find her.
I agree with everyone who said that Zimmy and Gamma are gatecrashing. a) they aren't in Queslett, so it's less likely they would know Jack to be invited b) there was a nicely even ratio of four boys to four girls, which their arrival has screwed up c) one of them doesn't speak English and the other is Zimmy, so I doubt they get invited to many parties in general d) everyone was startled when they turned up e) they aren't wearing snazzy trenchcoats.
I love Z'n'G. Can't wait for Friday now.

Well, this chapter just got especially awesome. Not that it wasn't already awesome to begin with of course.
I would think Zimmy and Gamma are there to see the experiment as well and probably didn't know about the others going. Zeta is quite into her science after all. Her theme was really good too and suits her well, anyone else reminded of the old Randall and Hopkirk theme in the last twenty minutes?

The one thing that concerns me about Zimmy and Gamma's showing up is that it might make things too crowded.
We already have Annie and Kat up here with six characters that we've had only glimpses of so far. Before this chapter, Janet and Winsbury were the only ones whom we knew much about, three were little more than names and character designs, and one (Jack) is an entirely new character.
Then, added to that, we have Zimmy and Gamma, who have enough complexity surrounding them to be more suited for the leads in a potential spin-off to "Gunnerkrigg Court" than supporting characters in "Gunnerkrigg Court" itself, making an unexpected appearance. I hope that Tom hasn't bitten off too much here.

I wouldn't be surprised if Z&G already know details about the experiment... And I expect them to bypass the security routinely :-)

I'm hearing a little bit of "Night on Bald Mountain" in that Justice song. Which fits nicely.
I'm interested in seeing how Zimmy and Gamma interact with students besides Kat and Annie.

That was so unexpected... I think they might be there for the experiment, and it's going to be all weird now, 'cause I can see Z talking rude to everyone except "Carver"....
... but of course, I'm wrong most of the time

Ok, with Z'n'G entering the stage it's going to get a little bit messy. I find it awesome that Tom is now including music to the comic, but I don't like his choice for Zimmy's theme. It's too repetitive and annoying and it makes me want to turn it off after just a few seconds. Which is the exact opposite of Zimmy whom I can't get enough of. (And I'm totally not sure about my grammar here.)

i bet there is going to be some kind of energy coming off the island when the experiment starts and zimmy wants some of it.

Thing is, it doesnt matter what we think. The song is inherent of Zimmies nature, situation and charector.

I thought Zimmy and Gamma had sorted their "issues" after their story. Why is Gamma still sleepless and Zimmy is still... dirty, or whatever?

It's more like "why wouldn't they be ?" When Zimmy was cleaning up and Gamma sleeping, it was only temporarily.

I've been waiting for this one! Man, what if it rains? And her eyes show up? This chapter is going to be so awesome. I like the character interactions a lot. and Zim's theme music is great. It sounds like what'd be playing in everyone's head when she's around. :/

Nope their issues werent fixed. ZImmy just happens to react to the rain like that. She loves it. Otherwise she's just her plain ole self. Gamma got knocked out after being awake so long. It isnt going to be the first time.
Zimmy distorts reality and reveals bits of reality that have been hidden, visions, bits of reality from the past even. Its not been thoroughly understood yet. But her distortions of reality dont fictionalize it, more "open it up". and its never in a pleasant way. Gamma's presence cancels this effect out but only if she's conscience. If she is in any away not awake and aware and not near Zimmy, crazy shit starts happening around Zimmy.
I suggest rereading that part of the comic again to truly clear things up.
Nah she must have been blinking when Tom made the panel [hehe]

is it just me or is the circle on Zimmy's shirt bigger? also it appears to occupy the only clean ground on that shirt.
*cues creepy techno music that while deliriously apt I could not listen to for long*

I always felt Zimmy's theme tune would be Torgo's Theme from Manos, The HAnds of Fate. Anyone else?

My guess was that Zimmy and Gamma have tried to go to the island before, but stuff happeded those times so they couldn't. Today they made a flawless plan to get there, unaware that the others would be here.
That Zimmy music fits her perfectly. I imagined it would be something like that.

Okay, when I first started listening to that song I was imagining a sort of shaky-cam following Zimmy over-the-shoulder as she stomped all around the court and sowed chaos, but after a couple listenings and getting into the beat of the song, the image in my mind started to look a bit more like this: www.youtube.com/watch?v=uy8kIXA4STs&feature=relatedAnd hey, I think there are more than enough students on the roof right now to fill in as backup dancers.
