Most enjoyable. Lovin' how Winsbury and Janet are playing it cool, all "Yeah, we'll be makin' out later. Heh." And soon, we shall see the mysterious thing which Jack discovered! Also, I'm guessing he's the science-y one of the group, and thus will gravitate to Kat.

A Nice Boat, at that.
I guess the thing on the roof is the reason everyone came.

Yeah! Mysterious thing!
Jack seems to look like Aang. from Avatar the last Airbender.

I guess the thing on the roof is the reason everyone came. The chapter is named "Powerstation" :-) But I guess it needs to be an unusual one to attract our heros...

Seeing characters grow up during a comic is always pretty cool and though it has been noticable before, seeing Winsbury here hit's it home as we haven't seen him for a while and he is quite clearly looking older.

Johns face is massively adorable in the third panel :3

Winsbury looks all older and mature and suave. John looks like Kif from Futurama. He's got the woobly mouth thing.
Things that live on roofs that a group of schoolchildren would be interested in...probably not the powerstation itself, unless they're quite strange. A helicopter?

We'll find out on Friday. Or next week, if Friday's strip ends with the children standing on the roof staring at whatever it is - without our being shown it.
At least we know now why they came here (kind of).

Seeing as it's GC, it's probably a robot or somesuch. A nice Model-B robot.

I don't think it would be another robot, since that (well, an entire room full of robots) was what was discovered in the last chapter.

Ahhh, they all look so cute in this strip... I really wonder what would Annie's expression would be after this exchange of blushes... and not trying to be mathematic about it, but we got 2 couples (sorta) and 4 singles... interesting, specially since we have some "history repeats itself" from last chapter (Annie and Kat paralell to Surma and Anja)... come to think about it.... we don't even know if all kids "in that picture" were in the same house. I'll wait to see more of these two kids before I assigned [or is it assign in present tense??? !"##$&/ my english deserts me again] them to the girls... and also I bet Tom is having a laugh reading all this

Does anyone else see a symbol in the door behind Winsbury in the first panel? It's the "OF ES" part of "ROOF ACCESS".

I'm getting curious as to what the heck they are all doing on the roof!
Plus I like Kat and Annie's outfits too. They remind me of someone or something but I can't just put my finger on it at the moment.

I forgot to ask this before.... how in the name of Freuds fake mandible, did they got to meet a kid from other class, since the court is HUGE???

The best way to describe the size of Gunnerkrigg Court: Chance encounters with kids from other classes have the power of freakin' plot-twists!!

WILLIEEEE! Quality of comic = W w(1 + S B) + A, where W w is Winsbury and S B are his number of lines. A stands for general awesomeness; after all, there are a very few number of pages with non-Winsbury awesomeness. I forgot to ask this before.... how in the name of Freuds fake mandible, did they got to meet a kid from other class, since the court is HUGE??? Well, they are in the same house; didn't we even see somewhere in the first year that the girls (and presumably the boys as well) of the respective south/north houses share accomodations? And I even believe that when Annie said they hardly ever saw anyone else she was talking about students from the higher years, not other houses. But I can't be bothered to trudge through the archives right now. I fully expect someone to remeber the exact quotes I'm talking about word for word anyway.

The qn and qs-girls seem to share a building: www.gunnerkrigg.com/archive_page.php?comicID=39 Also, boys and girls from qn take classes together - so they're all connected: Janet meets winsbury in class, Winsbury can meet Jack in or near the boy's dorm, Jack meets some QS-girl in class, QS-Girl meets Janet in/near the dorms. They could also have met in the city.. or e-mailed.. etc. This is where Kat mentions that they "hardly ever see any other kids" www.gunnerkrigg.com/archive_page.php?comicID=149
