Well, they are.Now that she mentions it, Robot did come together rather easily.

Smells like some of our former speculation may be right (about the robots not being entirely scientific constructs).

"...means you are unfamiliar with."Does Annie suspect a magical connection through the CPU's 'extra part'? She's subtly urging Kat in the right direction. I doubt Mrs. D found the robots useless. She was nervous about her daughter stumbling on this little secret. Or she was nervous about what's behind door 'D'. I'm not sure I like Annie's "Durr, I dunno" look in the last panel. Doesn't really suit her normal demeanor. Next page, instead of a revelation on the robots, Rey will interrupt with a warning about the 'D-is-for-Dread' Portal.

finally!! Annie said what i wanted her to say ever since Kat complained about "No parts!!". Ann has no robotic history whatsoever. Time to open Kats eyes. I mean, she was just talking to a Doll Wolf not to long ago.

Haha, I know some have likened Annie putting together Robot to popping together some legos in previous threads -- way to nail it!
I've just had some great relief at Kat saying there's a "cpu SLOT" in the bodies. I'd been worried that for Robot to get a new chassis, some other Robot brain might have to be kicked out.
Edit to add: I LOVE Annie's expression in the last panel (no offense, ckneller). I think it's really nice that she can just be just that frank and... human with Kat. She doesn't have the faintest idea, and she's just perfectly comfortable admitting it.

And suddenly everything seems to make sense!! I felt a disturbance in the force as if thousands of comic readers thought "Oh, right!" at the same time. Poor Kat, if things really turn out like that, she might suffer serious psychological damage. Action figures + CPU = proper robot! That will make her world crumble. etc.

Action figures + CPU = proper robot! So does anyone else remember Small Soldiers at this point?

haha that movie was freaky, though the simlilarities are uncanny, in one of the scenes, they turned all the barbies into soldiers with their fallen comrades CPU. Though to side with Kat, at least the small soldiers had wiring and electrical components in them.

My prediction: Maybe the blinker stone can be used to power the robot?

My prediction: Maybe the blinker stone can be used to power the robot? Exactly what I thought. Perhaps Antimony should try putting the blinker stone in the other robots. Now one could only hope they obey the blinker stone's posessor...

If not, she just switches off power.
