Will the subject of why she didn't contact them be touched sometime in the story? Or, can I assume it has to do with whatshisface ( annie's father )?

And squee to Basil! xD I was afraid he was forgotten!

It'll be brought up later, yeah.

I'm really sorry about this question and I understand if you choose to ignore it. I only ask to settle a heated discussion that has brewed outside these forums so that other aspects of your comic can be discussed.
I tried searching in case it had been asked before but I didn't find anything like this.

I have talked too much so I'll be direct.

Fifth panel of the last Cherry Tree comic.

Are you going to update the graphicsmash mirror after the main site, leave it as is, or remove it altogether?

Hum, could you update the main site an hour early ? Graphicsmash was pretty useful to me, because I can't see the main site before I go.
Or else I'd have to wait an entire day :/ Pretty boring.

I'm going to try updating it a day later than the main site, see how it goes.

The short answer is no, I can't make the main site update an hour earlier.

Tom, does it disturb you when people call antimony/kat gorgeous/beautiful, and generally obsess about the romantic lives of these two teenage girls?

If you could be any kind of tree, which tree would you turn in to an arm?

Will boxbot ever be brought to justice for his crimes against robo-life?

If you had a chance to guess, how many chapters away would you say the white woman's story is?

Have you considered dentistry work for your avatar?

I don't think it should be a crime to say a girl is attractive, and common sense lays the grounds fairly clearly for what is appropriate and what isn't. People are allowed to discuss what they want as long as it remains within the realm of decency. If people want to get vulgar about it, then they can do it away from my forum and comments section.

The lady ghost's story is told piece by piece, so you can't be sure when she will pop up.

Tom, I gotta say, browsing these forums, and in general, browsing the forums of other webcomics as well, I've found that most of the Webcomic creators incur a lot of stress over their fanbase, between general stupidity, and perhaps a lack of positive feedback at times.

I think that this forum stresses you out, and I would hate to see something terrible happen, like you stop making comics, as I loved them, and you have been a very big influence in my own art as of late.

Question being, what can your average fans do, or avoid doing, to make your life easier?

The forum isn't really for me, and it certainly isn't to harvest only positive feedback. It's a place for people to talk about the comic in more depth than is possible in the comments section. I just try and run the place as I see fit. This place isn't as bad as a lot of other places.

Thanks for your convern, however. Rest assured that I would delete the forum and shut off the comments long before I stop making the comic.

Well, that's good to know. I think.

In other questions, I'm curious as to Elgamore's middle name? This wouldn't be much of a thought to me at all, until I noticed this.

Maybe I just didn't notice his middle name being said elsewhere.

What do you use for your lines? Just like markers or pens or...black magic? I should probably buy one of those fine-tipped pens that all the cool kids are using.

Hi Tom! I have a few minor questions:

I love the Gunnerkrigg 404-page ;D , but I can't find it anymore. :-[ Anyone got a link? What's that music in the flash file? And have you ever thought of a "Gunnergrigg Court Soundtrack"? ;)

Are you Neil Gaiman in disguise? I mean, seriously? Because I can't think of any other person to have such a great imagination and storytelling skills.

As I said, only minor. I love your comic in almost every way imaginable.
etc.

The 404 page comes up when you try to look at the root of one of my directories, for example:
http://www.gunnerkrigg.com/art/

It is the Savegame music from the PS2's ICO. I think about music for my comic all the time.

Jokingly: No I am not Neil Gaiman. Seriously: I'm still not Neil Gaiman.

Do you own the Shadows of the Colossus soundtrack?

It makes even the most mundane things, like getting the train to work, seem epic.

What would you do, if, through wild speculation, a fan unknowingly uncovered the complete remaining plotline to Gunnerkrigg court, right until the very end? Like, the entire thing?

I'm not sure if you've answered this anywhere else before, but which version of Photoshop do you use? I've only got 5.0 (which is how old now?), and even with my Wacom tablet it is nigh impossible to make super smooth lines...

Also, on a related note, what resolution do you typically work at?

I would continue as normal. All that would happen is they would type "Called it!!!" and act smug on the Internet for a few minutes, and people do that anyway.

I use CS3. CS1 and above handle lines mich better than old versions. Most of the comic was done in Phototshop 6 before I went all digital, since I only used it for colouring.

I make the pages at 300dpi.
