Red is just amazing. I love everything about her. This page made me so happy, definitely worth the wait. <3

What I really want to find out (at least, we'll probably find out on Friday) is whether Red will be pleased that her hair's back to its original style, or whether she'll start shouting "I liked it better when it was long! Why did I ever have it cut?", followed by more petulant ranting of the sort that you have to be a girl at the edge of adolescence to do well.
Incidentally, does anybody besides me think that the "very amusing haircut montage" line seems more appropriate to Tom's commentary than to Annie's narration?

That robot is really awesome. Now, was he designed for haircutting, or is he a war robot put to new use?
As for that narration, maybe narrator-Annie is aware of the medium being used to relate her story.

Awesome, yes...but scary too. Imagine being approached by this big metal-many-armed-using-lots-of-sharp-things-bot....and that "Very well"....spooky.
I would like to see how normal people (not used-to-be-fairies) would react to that.
Incidentally...in the world outside GC is it normal to have all that stuff, like baberbots and stuff, or it's something that happens inside the school only? Has anyone read or know about that?

As for that narration, maybe narrator-Annie is aware of the medium being used to relate her story. True, I thought that. But then I think Annie is a potentially very witty character; just because we've seen her restrained and sensible most of the time doesn't mean she can't be witty.

Agreed, and I'd love to see witty Annie. I adore Red's new hair. Hopefully she likes it as well now that it's once again sticky-uppy.

Wit, like most things, benefits from practice. Annie's main source of conversation was with the Guides, and I many of them respond well to humor. Stories they may tell, but a serious job calls for a serious person.

I find the ArachnoBarberBot to be incredibly cool and super. I want one for myself, but i fear that it would murder me for not being as cool as itself.
It is for sure that as we speak, guests artist the world abound are scurrying to make contributions to what had transpired during the montage.
BTW, has anyone seen the new Stardust movie? Should Gunnerkrigg ever get to the silver screen, it would be my sincere wish that Neil Gaiman was on board to help.

How I envision the rest of the chapter going:
Red likes her hair, figures Blue might also like her now. They return, find her, but Red's attitude is still keeping Blue away. Thus Annie and Kat run through another potentially amusing (and quite possibly skipped!) montage about how to be a bit more...
I don't wanna say lady-like, because I can't see Red acting all proper.
Chilled out, perhaps.
By the by, Red and Blue can't be their actual names, can they? Or are they? Or, perhaps, their real names will be revealed at the end of the chapter or somesuch.

No kidding! It's been almost ten years! ...man, this comic used to be hosted on graphic smash this far in? Makes me wonder when I discovered this comic now, since I could've swore it was on its own site by then Also, the numbering doesn't quite match up. The comic they're referring to here is actually page 324: gunnerkrigg.com/?p=324The bit rot has already set in.
