First time poster. I really like Gunnerkrigg Court so I like making fanart for it. Here's Tom and Tea.

That's really cool ! Did you finish the thing ? Which thing are you talking about? There are a lot of things that come to mind, but if they're at all Gunnerkrigg related, then they are not finished.

Welcome animoose, I think you've earned the distinction of first Tom and first Tea fanarts at the same time!

Hey look, it's St. George the dragon-slayer. Awesome job there Riess, I like that bad-ass expression on her face. Is Smitty her squire?

(1) I think the Tom and Tea comic series deserves its own thread
(2) Please give Tea some irises (and I don't mean flowers) in the middle panel.

Hey Animoose, are you working from a real point of reference? Do you actually know what Tom looks like in real life or are you just guessing what he would look like if he didn't have Zimmy eyes?

First and foremost, I don't know (never learned) how to draw. BUT, after seeing thursday's stream, I wanted to "try". So, criticism welcome I guess.

If that's a first attempt, I'd say you've got a LOT of talent, Klex!

I really like that, Klex! I'd love to see what else you come up with. I don't know if this is fanart, per se, but it was suggested to me that I post it here. (If I'm in the wrong place, kindly slap me on the wrist and send me on my way.) This is a progress shot for a costume I'm wearing to a local convention this year. I have a sweater/sweatshirt thing I'm dyeing tan to go over it, but this is technically a canon costume as well. I finished the skirt this morning and I'm fairly pleased with it. (I wish it didn't look so dark here. Ah well.) Also, the wig will be cut and curled up at the bottom. Your Dorkiness has increased by +1. x) That's all I can think about this.

Miri, you win an internet. Be sure to tell us how the con goes, too!

Oooh, but you need the make-up too. Details, it's all in the details!

Thanks, all! Yep, I do need the makeup...dang, I have the eyeshadow already, I just forgot to put it on! XD And I'll go out and find that tan-orange-what lipstick sometime this week. Speaking of details, I'll be working on the antimony-symbol necklace tonight, and a friend of mine might be making me a blinker stone. =D The wig is an Ivy from Cosworx. A bit on the expensive side, but it was the only wig on the planet in the dark pink color (not an easy color to find just yet) with the length and bangs I needed. (I considered the Clover, which would have saved me five bucks, but it would have ended up way short with the ends curled, and I really wanted to do her ends-curled chapter 17 look. Whether or not I throw in the blue barrette is still up in the air...it's not canon for that particular style, but it's recognizable.) I'll be chopping off about seven inches before I start curling, but I'm glad I spent the extra. It's really a beautiful wig. (Cosworx wigs usually are. {/plug}) I spent this afternoon detangling it - I wasn't very careful trying it on. Now it looks considerably better than it does in the picture, actually. Alright, wig TMI over. Maybe I should just start a new thread...I feel bad for monopolizing this one. x) After the con, maybe, when I have pictures of my Parley and fleecesuit-Reynardine, too. (You guys won't murder us for having a Parley with blue streaks in her hair, right?)

Alright page 2 completed. This took me a lot longer than I wanted. Partially because I inked by hand. Hopefully the next page won't take as long.

Animoose, I love it. And I like to think that's Tom's philosophy on this comic. Go forth and conquer and all that.
...wait, did that make any sense?
Love the comic, love Tom, love the comic-Tom. There we go.

I noticed the speech bubbles went from all white to tinted-by-speaker. Nice touch.
