Summer Holiday 7 - edges scuffed and worn

I love Kat. Of course she would suggest e-mail. But really who sends snail mail nowadays anyway? other than me?

I was hoping that we'd get a letter from Kat about her time in Italy, and we did. Wonderful!

Too bad we didn't get to see Annie's reply to Kat's first letter, though we can at least guess at the contents. I especially liked Annie's advice for helping out the ghost - so true to her and to the atmosphere of the webcomic. (It's also just like Annie to be more comfortable with sending regular mail than e-mail, even after Kat teaches her how to do it.)

I'd still like to see how Annie was spending the summer months at Gunnerkrigg - at least we've still got three days left of this period. Even if nothing dramatic happens, it'd still be a great way for us to find out more about what she likes to do when she's not attending classes, doing homework, or having adventures.

I also liked the part about Kat's uncertainty over how to spell "Ysengrin" (and the alternate spelling beginning with an "i" really is the more common spelling for his legendary original).

I especially liked Kat including drawings of the Scottish and Italian flags at the top of her letters.

One touch that I also find interesting: the remark that Reynardine's more "pleasant" in his full-wolf form. In fact, he does seem grander and less petty in that shape than in his plush form. Still capable of making sarcastic remarks to Ysengrin, for example, but I don't think that this version of him would be cracking jokes about wanting to see Annie and Kat kissing.

Thanks for the correction, Mezzaphor. I must have missed that part.

I'd also like to think that Reynardine's undergoing a genuine change for the better.
