Noteworthy observation: The mouse running ahead of everyone else. Possible Chinese zodiac reference? That and in case you were wondering where cats with frog hats are from; it's Gillitie Wood. Them and sad gum drop people.

Aye. And yes, what almost everyone called, happened. In Gunnerkrigg it probably counts as a twist.

Not for me. I'm totally not going to question the walrus or the kitty deer or the flying fish or the shark. That's just how forests work.

I'm kind of just wondering about all the aquatic animals who can apparently run over land. Does the shark deliver pizza?

If the shark DOESN'T deliver pizza or candygrams, I'm going to be very very sad.

Should probably add the comic number to the thread title so it matches the others. <_<
Also: FLYING SHARK! D:

I bet that page was fun to draw I'm a bit surprised there isn't at least one shadowperson among the group.

I bet that page was fun to draw I'm a bit surprised there isn't at least one shadowperson among the group. I noticed that myself but found myself not being surprised because don't they universally hate humans? With the exception of Shadow, they've been said to just collectively hate our guts. Which is fine because in their place seem to be little shadow fairies. I want to say they're just silhouettes of the regular fairies but they're really tiny and not at all spiky or clothed. Shadow fairies!

Tom tweeted that the red-headed creature next to the ogre/troll/thing is the Flatwoods MonsterAlso, like many I saw this coming, and it is still amazing.

Yay it happened! And in the most hilarious/adorable way possible. I love "I wish there was more happiness in the world".
And the presence of a walrus.

*places a big jar of "called-it-cookies" in the middle of the forum* Help yourself, guys! ;D That's just how forests work. Exactly! And I'm totally fine with that! I think the "kitty deer" may be a Wolpertinger.

So what do we have?
A wolpertinger, a huge troll, the Flatwoods Monster, a bull, a giant mouse, Forest Face, a brown mouse, two fairies, two ducks/geese, a little wood-like troll, gumdrop people, a female deer, dwarves/goblins/trolls (the two brown dudes with red caps), a giant grasshopper, a ghost, a walrus, a cat, a SHARK, a blue dinosaur, a stupid long horse, a flying fish, a guy with a frog hat, what looks to be a golem but is partly blocked by text, a green alien-thing with cat-like ears, two tiny shadowmen (one on the bull and one on the grasshopper's leg) and an indifferent black dude.
I think that was probably all of them.
My favorite is still Forest Face. That little guy just looks so damn excited.

"What do we have?"
We also risk having a homeless boy. Are humans really that different than forest creatures when it comes to wanting their wishes granted? Humans will even mob famous people just for an autograph, etc.
And now Annie is telling the story of Smitty's powers, if word gets out to all the other students in court, they may start asking for stuff as well.

Maybe Smits should consider going on a month-long sabbatical into the forest, like Annie did over the summer. He'd solve so many problems, and he'd have a chance to set it up so that he was the little young sage who sat on a stump in the forest while a long orderly queue extended itself in a spiral around him.
The sheer amount of self-fulfillment is probably more than any normal human could stand. "Can't. Stop. Helping. People.. Gyaaarghghhhh!!"

Ha, loved this page. So did Smitty's ability to "make order" just end up making things more complicated?
