1180What exactly didn't go to plan? Are they running towards or away from Eggers and Parley? The fact Eggers and Parley aren't too concerned suggest they're running towards them. My guess is Coyote is giving them a test of some sort, probably trying to scare the new guy

Are they running towards or away from Eggers and Parley? I'm guessing the answer to that question is "no".

Oh, Antimony, what have you done this time?

I wonder if that's actually Coyote and not Annie. The giddy smile was a bit more Jolly Elfsberry than it was Annie....
Also we know how Annie reacts when she actually thinks something dangerous is pursuing her and this is not it. So whatever Smitty is worrying about, even if this really is Annie, it's not truly something dangerous.

Oh, Antimony, what have you done this time? Something really stupid? Like going to the Forest with Smitty without permission...

Those mighty eyebrows aren't helping just yet!
Maybe smitty's power to create order made some illusion that coyote usually pulls on Annie fall out of place, causing them to run.

Good thing Tom mentioned in his comment that those are Eglamore and Parley in todays strip. I totally thought that was Andrew and Annie. ;D My guess is Coyote is giving them a test of some sort, probably trying to scare the new guy I'm with you on this one, only less serious. Coyote is messing with the new guy and Annie is playing along.

I kinda like it. You don't need to wait for stuff to happen.

I wonder what kind of pants Parly is wearing.

"The girl standing next to Eglamore is Parley." Wait a minute is Eglamore that big guy there
(P.S. Smitty seems to be handling his new job well...)

I also think that's actually Coyote disguised as Annie. Perhaps a Body Shuffle has occurred.

It's not out of character for her. I think it's from the desire to see Andrew/Coyote hijinks. I can see them having their own 'odd couple' sitcom. "Howls and The Brows"?... "The Entropy Alignment"?... "The Eyes Have It"?... Is anyone else imagining Coyote throwing Andrew a bachelor party, or is it just me?

Unlike Eggers, Annie clearly subscribes to the 'fail early and often' school of teaching!
I had been thinking that we were in an anxiety-fueled dream of Smitty's, ending when Parley woke him up (... *after* bipping into his room! ;-) Might be rethinking that, but what else is new?

What exactly didn't go to plan? The most important part is that it didn't go exactly to plan... in Smitface's presence. Which in itself got to be amusing for Annie but disconcerting for Andrew.

That's a good point. I somehow get the feeling that things will work out alright for him. One would assume that his powers only affect the universe to create order for him, and not others. Or this "not going to plan" will somehow work out better and orderly in the end.

Of course, it may be that things didn't go exactly to plan much like it happened when "Smitface ruined the sim", but this won't be as funny in itself.

I wonder what would happen if Coyote attempted to eat Smitty. Can you use order as a weapon? It, of course, depends on the power of Smitface's powers. But if one were to overestimate them to be the most powerful force on the planet like I do, I imagine Coyote would never have the inclination to do so in the first place. Coyote would instead attempt to do something similar that would fail/work out better for Smits in the long run.

So what is that they're being advised to run from? My thought is a flight of foley candidates looking to take their entrance exam! Foley... looking up the name lef me to this page: www.gunnerkrigg.com/?p=979In light of recent revelations about Jones, that last panel ("He [Shadow] is unique.") takes on added significance
