They're not plotting a trap, they're just humorously strange. Trust me.

She didn't even get a chance to reverse polarities. What a waste. They're not plotting a trap, they're just humorously strange. Trust me. I don't know. Why not both?

In case you're curious, 113 Long Acre, London is occupied by a "Mexx" clothing retailer. I don't know of other Long Acres.
But, you know, 113.

It has 113, therefore it must be the real thing. Except that Tom has gotten wise to his fans' plot-detecting ways; therefore it must be a red herring. Unless he expects us to expect that in which case Robot has been a ghost the whole time.

It already was personal, and now it's a personal challenge. Seraphs just had to bait them.

Robots are nothing if not unsubtle.
I think the rescue party will go to 113 longacre to find an old gramophone playing 'Gree-en Acres is the place to be...'

Well, there are really only two options. Either it's a trap or it's not. I think that these robots are a little smarter than your average court robot, and they are indeed going to lead the main crew into a trap. These are seraphs, not guard bots.

Also, while Robot certainly is more intelligent than pretty much all other robots we've met yet, we have seen seraphs beside him before this, and they didn't seem too different from the everyday bots of the Court. Still, there might be something to it. We'll see I suppose.

I keep thinking that Robot or a new character will appear in the last page of this chapter saying something along the lines "All according to plan."

It can only be a trap if the seraphs expected someone to follow. But when they first met him, it seemed that it was the first time after a long search ("We have found you, number 13"). Then they probably don't know that Robot is friends with Annie and Kat, who like to investigate things. So I think the seraphs are just communicating with each other like the guard-bots.

Mrrr. I'm really not sure how much to suspend my disbelief here. "Eye-witness model"?

The Court robots are supposed to be absurd and nonsensical; just relax and enjoy a good laugh with the rest of us. With a different lead-up it wouldn't have bothered me, but the last few pages have been way serious, and the chapter cover was ominous. I wasn't prepped for full-on absurdity.

Well, consider it a delayed whiplash from this page, then. (By the way, with the recent page jump fix that page has somewhat aptly been renumbered #1000.)

Remember a little back when we went from Coyote's wacky hijinks to him wiping Ysengrin's memory? This comic thrives on mood wiplash. And just because the Court robots are a bit kooky, doesn't mean they can't be creepy or dangerous; their creator was a pretty kooky guy in his best moments too, and see what he ended up becoming.

I'm not suspicious. The Court robots are pretty much designed to be outwitted by humans.
For all we know they wanted to take our Robot off to throw a party for him and give him moist, delicious cake.

Oh! Oh! Seeing as the chapter title is "Changes", these Seraphs have detected that S13 is on the verge of robo-puberty, so they're carting him off to watch the mandatory educational video about his upcoming hardware upgrades.

It's... (Chorus) Sado-maso-pedo-robo-shado-bestiality The quintessential cornerstone of carnal cordiality Exemplary of exquisite delectable depravity Sado-maso-pedo-robo-shado-bestiality! um diddle diddle diddle um diddle eye um diddle diddle diddle BEEP diddle eye Oh ever since assembly I've been trouble in the ranks They turned me into paperclips by way of saying thanks But then I met this forest boy in three dimensions too My hardware isn't up to spec which makes me glad I know... (Chorus) My friend and I were chilling in the chilly winter light When Seraph models bust us and come spoiling for a fight I rough them up and parkour down and throw my friend away These robots may object to us but this is what I'll say... (Chorus) So if you ever think about such strange romantic bliss And tell yourself repeatedly "I'm not cut out for this" Just realize inflation's just a razor edge away - Coyote's blade will change you in the most hysterical ways! (Chorus) Original

Think cameraman, or tape recorder.
