Kat is going to be so awkward XD
I really like how the whole issue of Kat's sexuality is being portrayed as somewhat ambiguous and confusing, I'm guessing that's probably how a lot of people feel at her age.

Oh, please. It's confusing only for Paz. We know Kat likes bird boys. Which reminds me of the previus page again.

And the only thing where my mind went was where Renard would be lodged from now on. Does he get an apartement of his own? Does Annie dare to leave him to the mercies of the Court? Maybe she'll ask Jones if she would mind a pint-sized roommate? Also, it's been ages since we saw him as a teddy bear.
Certainly a reference to how Kat fears the new cohabitation could be interpreted as. Beyond that, who knows.

I'm just curious why Annie needs to have a new roommate, or why Kat needs to vacate her own room. Is this a permanent thing?

Maybe Renard made an off-color joke during a conversation with Lindsey.

Although gauging from the start of the conversation, Lindsey appears to have broached some kind of request that entails Antimony moving to a shared room. Some kind of unsubtle social engineering? The Court might have an interest in separating Antimony from Renard.

Kat's new hairstyle is really nice. Also, I wonder where Renard will sleep, in Annie or Kat's old room?

Has any chapter ever had this much shipping fuel this far in? I can already see a ton of drama coming and thats just if they were normal friends, add in a girl with social problems and a girl with budging sexuality problems not to mention ones a wizard the other a scientist

Ok, predictions for the rest of the chapter. 1. Kat is going to have an awkward conversation with Paz at some point. 2. Robot and shadow are going to dramatically reunite and share a single kiss on top of a building at sunset in true romantic-movie-style. 3. Annie is going to do something to further Coyote's plans without knowing it. 4. Tom will confirm all of the fanships in a single page, ALL OF THEM.

It's probably just that every room in the dorm is full, so that in order for Renardine to get his own, someone else will have to give up theirs.

I remember when I was around Kat's age, and I was always somewhat apprehensive about sharing a room with other girls for a sleepover or trip or something because, as a queer girl myself, if they started to change their clothes in the room or something I always felt the urge to be like, "I WASN'T LOOKING AT YOU." I wonder if Kat's thinking anything like that, or if it's more just worry about how other people might view it.

Even if Kat were to give her room to Renard I don't think Annie's room is big enough for two kids to share. I'm glad Kat didn't say no but what was Paz looking at? It could be towards them since they're talking to Lindsay or she could be looking at the water.
Although I would be happy seeing Shadow/Robot be canon I feel that Shadow is too young for a relationship.

Even if Kat were to give her room to Renard I don't think Annie's room is big enough for two kids to share. I doubt that Renard would be given a whole room, either way. He's not a student and it's the students' dorm. I'm pretty curious what Lindsey planning with him, and what inspired this whole thing for that matter. With Kat's luck, Lindsey's started to ship her with Annie, too. But seriously, I suspect that Renard is the crux of it, but we aren't getting the reason, yet. Do we have any idea what age either of them are, or how they relate to human years? I haven't been able to think either of them as adults or children, and only by default as male, for that matter. Defining that relationship would be a chore even if we knew if it is supposed to be interpreted as romantically or not. Personally I think it's all deliberately ambiguous.

Well, not necessarily. Just because he "seems younger" doesn't establish it as a fact.

Defining that relationship would be a chore even if we knew if it is supposed to be interpreted as romantically or not. Personally I think it's all deliberately ambiguous. Red called him a kid in Broken Glass and other things. A kid young enough not be be expected to talk well. On a different note, this isn't a very private conversation. Lindsey is talking from a computer that off to the side from where the girls are, so it must be loud enough to project to the entire room. I can't tell if Paz is passively facing sorta toward Kat, or if she actually glanced in Kat's direction.

I'm just curious why Annie needs to have a new roommate, or why Kat needs to vacate her own room. Is this a permanent thing? If I had to guess, it's because Renard is getting Kat's room while Kat moves in with Annie. This way Annie maintains her privacy (and discretion) while still keeping close to Renard to keep him under her control, as per Court ruling.

Shadow's mental age seems to be around 10 years. I do agree that nothing is really going be confirmed. I'll be glad if everyone were to remain as close friends.
