Oh, look. A new use for a blinker stone
Antimony attacks Ysengrin with FLASH! Ysengrin takes 3d8 + Intelligence modifier radiant damage and is dazed and blinded (save ends both).

Wow... I was expecting him to stay on the ground, TBH.
Never seen that kind of blinkerstone juju before. Bright sunlight? I suppose its a thematic property of fire.

Hmm, considering it's called a blinker stone it would make sense for it to make you... blink.

 In seriousness, it's kind of good to see Annie in over her head. It's been a while.

I like the way you worked in the bit about her shoes. Clever.

By now she probably doesn't need very long to call it back. She can probably do it while it's still in mid-air, even. Your idea is not inconceivable though.

Now, this page seems to imply she drops her blinker stone to activate it. That might mean she has to return to the forest etherically and maybe even have a Jeanne-like encounter with Ys? I figured she wanted to fire it off when she and Eggers were far enough away to avoid getting blinded themselves. As someone else already said, I seem to recall she can summon it back to her remotely.

Well, it is used to make the light signals and she can create light with it, so doing a bright flash to daze Ysengrin wouldn't be all that hard.

In seriousness, it's kind of good to see Annie in over her head. It's been a while. As in, the previous chapter?

Hahah, fantastic! Wait, is "anyone who looks at me funny" a Spider Jerusalem reference? Cause that earns many extra points.

I like the [shadow=white,left,100]Blink[/shadow] and [glow=red,3,300]FLASH[/glow] onomatopoeia. They make me smile.

Don't even mention it again. (If it isn't 4th, then I apologize.)

In seriousness, it's kind of good to see Annie in over her head. It's been a while. As in, the previous chapter? I'm still not going to pretend to have any idea what the previous chapter was about. If Anthony really was behind the spacebonelasers, then Annie was probably in no danger. I guess I meant 'in over her head on her own adventure.' In that sense, I think it's been since Coward Heart.

Flares! I totally called it. Bonus to whoever came up with ECM for Etheric Counter Measures, though.

yes it was 4th ed. i'm waiting for the fifth as well. You mean DnD Next? And Pathfinder lad, Pathfinder. As to the comic, this is an interesting, but not unforeseen addition. We knew it could create illusions, why not simply bright ones?

Heh. Splash one wolf? Wait, is "anyone who looks at me funny" a Spider Jerusalem reference? Cause that earns many extra points. Like many bastiches on the internets I get a jolly from hiding nods to various comics and GNs and things in my posts. That one wasn't an intentional SJ ref, or at least not consciously so. Glad people liked that riff, hope it makes up for my terrible fanart (which there will be more of eventually).

As someone else already said, I seem to recall she can summon it back to her remotely. She does that by visiting the stone etherically and "touching" it, as seen here and here. Given the nature of the forest and of Ysengrin in particular, I doubt doing this discreetly will be easy. Also, I doubt Tom would devote an entire panel to it falling if it weren't relevant.
