Uhh, Mr. Thorne the former games teacher, right? Anywho, I'm really looking forward to Jim admonishing Annie on monday and Annie being indignant about it. 'S gonna be fun.

Oh my. I think I'm just a little bit in love with Jimmy Jims.
And! It looks like Ys survived to growl another day.

Oh wow, I'm relieved Ysengrin is still (relatively) okay.
And also, wouldn't it be way more awesome if this thread was named ZAM?

Those last two panels make me wonder if Ysengrin will try to catch them by making the trees extend.

Okay, I have my theory of the last two last panels (did that make any sense?). I mean, last panels on two last issues. Coyote abruptly withdrew Ysengrin's powers. He's trapped in his now-inert exoskeleton.

So Jimmy has Brinnie's teleportation powers and Anja's purple shield powers. I wonder how that works.

Did Ysengrin lose his second ear now?

So, the beacon was some kind of favor from Brinny or Odin, maybe?

I tried the other way around but it turned out to be an abomination.

—Jimmy Jims, you're flying! —This isn't flying, this is falling with style!
Alternate version:
—Jimmy Jims, you're flying! —Not flying, just jumping very high!

And we all breathe a sigh of relief as bloodshed is averted. I guess Annie saying "oh Ysengrim" was out of pity (and trolling the audience) and not because Jimmy Jims had arrived yet.
Veeeeeeery interesting that Jimmy Jims' teleport shares a symbol with Brinnie's teleport. I suppose it could just be the generic teleport symbol in Gunnerkrigg World, or it could be a product of Anja's computer, but where's the fun in that? Why not speculate that Eggers and Surma broke up because Eggers started to spend too much time studying with Brinnie?

Anywho, I'm really looking forward to Jim admonishing Annie on monday and Annie being indignant about it. 'S gonna be fun. Nah, I thing he will be above that (he saw snarly Ys+beacon snapped=lesson learned, anything else would be petty "I told you so"). So Jimmy has Brinnie's teleportation powers and Anja's purple shield powers. I wonder how that works. Clearly he ingests the magic users in question, replacing them with apparitions. Alternate version: —Jimmy Jims, you're flying! —Not flying, just jumping very high! Jimmy Jims jump good ;-)

Same sound effect, too. The magic involved could have been Abefr in origin, because Brinnie is gur Inyxlevr Oevauvyqe.

Really glad I ended up being right about the lack of violence. I would have been really bummed if Ys got seriously injured/killed. I think a lot of us have grown even more attached to his character.
Eggers didn't seem all too surprised either, did he?
Talking while jumping, next page? Annie flipping a shit about being up so high?

Ah good, doom and gloom averted, I'm glad I was wrong as well. As Tom said "Egg's job is to keep her safe, not fight General Wolfspidertree"

Okay, I have my theory of the last two last panels (did that make any sense?). I mean, last panels on two last issues. Coyote abruptly withdrew Ysengrin's powers. He's trapped in his now-inert exoskeleton. There's really no need for that. Ysengrin has always had trouble controlling his power, and now he seriously overexcerted himself. Is it any surprise that he's stiff and creaking at the end, when he's like that all the time? It seems that people are seriously eager to see poor Ys suffer with all these predictions of him getting sliced, stabbed, and now paralyzed. I really doubt that he's going to suffer anything more crippling than extreme shame for his actions.

Lightice might have touched something interesting. While we sympathize for Ys as a character, deep down we despise him as much as he despises us, because he despises us as humans.
Deep.

Do not leave your seat to get off until the jumpy guy comes to a complete stop. ;D Which provokes thoughts. So Jimmy has Brinnie's teleportation powers and Anja's purple shield powers. I wonder how that works. Same old? There's really no need for that. Ysengrin has always had trouble controlling his power, and now he seriously overexcerted himself. And not at his best in general. Mentally, that is.

I love the final shot of Y's frozen in mid growl, flabbergasted and desperately attempting to shift mental gears to comprehend the changing situation.
