Click here for the new page. Did anyone expect Tony to want to be found? Come on, Donny. I also note he hasn't actually lit his pipe. Unless the magic computer does that too. Egg timer, hourglass -- it makes us feel better about what's going on virtually. I fondly recall many games whose loading screens were very entertaining and made the wait much better. Having the little bar increase over time is very satisfying even if it doesn't mean anything. Or have the grains fall in the hourglass. Overall a pretty good Friday page -- there's no crazy cliffhanger for us to obsess over this weekend. I mean, sure we want to hear from Anthony, but there isn't the urgency of a chapter title page, say. Six panels of almost nothing happening but talking. Very relaxed, very smooth. EDIT: I also like Antimony's expression in the last panel. There also appears to be some sort of cross near the roof of a building in the background of that panel. A strange sort of window. What's that thing sticking into the frame from about midway down the right side above the roof above Antimony's head? The magicky abstractions on the pipe in the first panel are also rather pretty.

Most important revelation of this strip: Donny's eyes are actual dots. :0
(I kid)

"Sir, I noticed you seem able to make objects appear out of thin air."
Best Line Ever
Also, Donny apparently has eyes.

Unfortunately it's too many characters to be the thread title.

When since is the lack of a cliffhanger to make us excited for Monday a good thing? I always look forward to it.

The saddest face on last panel.

It's weird that Kat has normal eyes when both her parents' eyes lack one or two dimensions.

Still have to wonder what's with all the secrecy, I assume the code was because someone was listening in on the call, but anyone listening would know to keep tabs on Annie.
And they apparently did break into the med storage just for a single scalpel, so why was Annie looking at some sort of jar back there?
I'm totally gonna make this into a cliffhanger for myself, because so far the chapter's made me like Tony, but now Annie's sadfacing is making me angry at him ;D Also, I apparently misinterpreted the "I can only assume it's still up there" to mean that their launch window was sort of vague and they were in a hurry. Seems the rocket's still sitting on the launch pad. Maybe we'll see the most awesome rocket launching ever on monday?

I like Mr. Donlan more and more as the chapter continues. ... Do you not pronounce the "h" in "homage?" The internet says no. My mother says it's regional, like humble. I've only ever heard it with the H pronounced, but I'm in the US. It could also be a formal writing thing? I've seen "an history" in older books (we DEFINITELY pronounce that H) but I forget if the use of "an" in that case is particular to "history" or just goes with any word beginning h-vowel.

I really really really like the last panel with Mr Donlan lying down on a reclining lawn chair and Antimony sitting upright in a regular foldable chair. It's like the chairs magically knew their respective states of mind and changed form accordingly. Mr Donlan gets the reclining chair because he's feeling relaxed and laid back, and Antimony gets the regular chair because she's feeling anxious.

... Do you not pronounce the "h" in "homage?" I have mostly heard the 'h' in 'homage' unpronounced here in Florida. But I go to music school and many of my teachers seem to like prounouncing things in whatever languange they originated in. Rhymes with 'massage' as opposed to 'courage', if that helps.

Annie shouldn't be so surprised - she can make at least one object appear out of thin air. I would guess that the Donlans just generalized the solution.

The only thing left for Donny to make the waiting seem more relaxing would be to add some calming music like elevator music. Though I think if he did Annie would get irritated with him.

Before I click, I'ma guess one of those links is "The Girl from Ipanema". EDIT: Haha. Although I prefer this version.

... Do you not pronounce the "h" in "homage?" As in "ohmage"? Worst case scenario: she nabbed some sleeping pills. Why she would ever need any? What with all this out-of-body fun... If sumthin' like dat played in my elevator, i'd make a Magnetic Hammer - sorry, permanent magnet generation device - long ago. Unless i'd know some rust fairy, that is. ;D Before I click, I'ma guess one of those links is "The Girl from Ipanema". It's the new rickroll?

It should definitely be playing this music. As for 'homage' I think 'h' or 'no h' are pretty much interchangeable, I guess it's regional, although as it's a French word 'no h' is probably the original. Back the actual comic: how are they going to get the medical supplies to Anthony? Does he also have access to Anja's computer? If so are the supplies going to be transferred through Microsat 5 in order to reach Anthony's position? Question questions...

My guess is that it's a chimney and thats probably some kind of old fashoned window. It's weird that Kat has normal eyes when both her parents' eyes lack one or two dimensions. Anjas eyes are suppoused to be almond shaped, they're just drawn stereotypical asian style. Kats eyes are slightly almond shaped. Donnies eyes being dots is just Toms interpretation of him being shortsighted (or farsighted maybe?) imo.

Anja is romani, not asian, for what it's worth.
