Ha! Way to humourously poke fun at your own story motifs, Tom. There's a term for this, but, y'know... the site that shall not be named...

At first I thought Gol looked like a pretty swell guy.
Then I saw the head in his mouth.
How horrifying.

So, wait, is it an etheric giant worm or is it physically present?

You know, I don't think we ever saw someone not in the ether plane while Annie was. The only one that comes to mind is Jack but he was a special case. I imagine it'd be indistinguishable for the most part, without the etheric ley lines.

So it is, ye olde Lovecraftian horror. Seriously, geez, mass printing the necronomicon was the worst idea ever.

Just another eldritch horror at the court. Nothing to see here.

Prediction attempt 1:
Everyone goes back to their bodies and starts to flee, but Annie can't get back in hers, and Red has to save her.

Ha! Way to humourously poke fun at your own story motifs, Tom. There's a term for this, but, y'know... the site that shall not be named... A material used to prevent direct exposure from a light source, developed to both prevent eye damage, though generally used as decor in a contemporary setting. They are also the origin of the term lam-*BONK* On a sidenote, maybe the solution to a giant etheric worm is to summon a bigger ethereal creature to destroy the other one? Good to know the teacher lets her student have such devices though; I wish mine were as lenient about far less dangerous devices.

Wow, I love Annie's head in the last panel. They are also the origin of the term lam-*BONK* ... I ... I wanted to do the exact same thing.

Ha! Way to humourously poke fun at your own story motifs, Tom. "Reminder: a big worm slug monster ain't your bro." There's a term for this, but, y'know... the site that shall not be named... Not that talking in hyperlinks never was annoying or about as worrysome as fourth exclamation points... Methinks, the one who had fits from specifically these was not Tom, but one currently absent "prophet of Tom", though. Matters of wikilove, wikipurity, or something, you know how it happens. Don't worry everyone, this always happens! Also, free skylight! ...and then poor Zimmy ends up blaming her own bugs for everything.

You have done it. We're all doomed. Tom is going to kill us all.

Blue has got at least 20% cooler in these last two pages.
I almost get the vibe that this is a show being put on like when Red helped Annie with Kat in chapter 32, or will turn out about equally as serious in any case.

OH MY... Faces on the last panel's background is so ridiculous))) Yes, it turns out this chapter is also really about faces; most Gunnerkrigg Court chapters turn out to be about faces in the end.

Am I the only person who sees a little face in the bottom of the worm's mouth? Wow, I love Annie's head in the last panel. They are also the origin of the term lam-*BONK* ... I ... I wanted to do the exact same thing. You guys do realize that tvtropes didn't actually invent that term right? It's okay to use it in a discussion of literature or cinema, since people in those industries already do that.

Given the teacher's lack of concern, I get the feeling that this might not actually be dangerous; at least not to fairies and ex-animals.
Annie, on the other hand...

I like how Blue doesn't even look up from the book. No You have done it. We're all doomed. DOOOOOMED!You guys do realize that tvtropes didn't actually invent that term right? Not that it was much better than wordlinking... Why you want to spoil out nice little panic?

I almost get the vibe that this is a show being put on like when Red helped Annie with Kat in chapter 32, or will turn out about equally as serious in any case. I don't see Blue trying to sic it at Annie outright just like that... And their teacher probably can make dat poor worm tie itself in a knot if she thinks it makes the lesson too lively... Jeez i can't believe that worm. Destroying all those walls and windows. ...yet even if the overfed caterpillar itself is not really dangerous - quoth Elminster, "But are you equally immune to falling masonry?" I like how Tom lets the summoning speech bubble escape the panel into the border. Aye, some are subtler than the others (like background on fire 3 pages ago).

I wonder if the room is the intrinsic holistic extra-dimensional form of its 'real' structure or simply a mentally visualised oneiric construct; if 'tis the former, what'll the effect of its destruction have upon the 'actual' building?

Annie will be fine, long as she remembers to walk without rhythm.

Given the teacher's lack of concern, I get the feeling that this might not actually be dangerous; at least not to fairies and ex-animals. Though this being Gunnerkrigg Court, I wouldn't nullify the chances of Blue pulling some kind of Ged trick here, with dire consequences (for 10 to 30 pages). Oh so true.

Damn it! I just managed to get away from that site too. So many links, so little time. Limiting to 2 active (non- service, readable pages) tabs usually helps in such cases. I wonder if the room is the intrinsic holistic extra-dimensional form of its 'real' structure or simply a mentally visualised oneiric construct; if 'tis the former, what'll the effect of its destruction have upon the 'actual' building? I have warned of this dire threat to us all, yet once more humans are ambushed by poor Hungarian-Rlaan dictionaries... computer! Reboot translation! There were rumours that It devours those who misspell Its name. Though this being Gunnerkrigg Court, I wouldn't nullify the chances of Blue pulling some kind of Ged trick here, with dire consequences (for 10 to 30 pages). I doubt Wing Bind can help here. Love that crazy grin too? Hehehe!
