Yes. Deep Breaths because some of us are out of breath and in pain from that last panel.

Apparently Ketrak isn't the most hideously non-euclidean creature in town anymore.

In species where the female far outsizes the male, mating sometimes involves consumption of the male counterpart.
As I read this page, this is the thought bubbling to the surface of the oily black tar pit that is my mind.

Good stuff, good stuff.
Man, hopefully Annie won't try that on a boy. She may not know any better.
I kid.

I like how Annie keeps experiencing *why* it's a bad idea to etherically spy on people, yet keeps doing it. "Sure, let's secretly etherlook a multidimensional crab, what could possibly go BLARGH MY EYES"

I imagine being eaten is bad even from an etheric standpoint.

No need to get excited. I'm sure it's just a little etheric mimicry of some very beneficial gill-slit cleaning with some of Bud's specialized limbs. They probably just call it a kiss as an affectation, or because that's the closest human language gets. Carver's just got a dirty mind, or a failing grade in xenobiology, most likely. Or both.

Also her scar is still there.
Anyways, yea LAUGHING ON LINE, I suppouse its as horrible as two cthulhus kissing. Still, the fact that she has a mouthpart that exists only in the etherium is just as creepy, or does it? And just how many mouths does Lindsey have anyway?? Bud only has the one we see, but given how alien their biology must be, maybe he is hiding some mouths somewhere.
Edit: test LAUGHING ON LINE Edit2: Wierd, I half expected the l o l up there to get converted into the whole string., wasn't even trying to avoid the cencor conversion thing.
@spitefulfox: What do you mean by non-euclidean?

I, too, am smiling in a restrained, dignified manner.
I have no clue why the cat is hiding under the bed.
Seriously, you thought catching your parents was bad.

Well, Annie, that ought to teach you not to etherically eavesdrop on conversations.

I somehow doubt that an unpleasant sight during an etheric peep is the real reason spying using this system is a bad idea. The real reason is probably more significant and has yet to be learned.
It probably runs along the lines of, "If you open yourself to this type of situation, you make yourself vulnerable to those that are more powerful, and you can become their playthings/victims." Annie's had some psychic shocks that could indicate this is true, such as when she first saw Coyote and the Wood etherically. I doubt Annie is yet a major power etherically.
Coyote and others have protected Annie so far, but it can't last forever.
This is also more of the ongoing indication of Annie's major personality change coming through the Wood over the summer, which still remains unexplained to me. On the earlier side, she would never have batted an eyelash at Lindsey and Bud's kiss. Now it's an apparent grotesquery.

...It probably runs along the lines of, "If you open yourself to this type of situation, you make yourself vulnerable to those that are more powerful, and you can become their playthings/victims... Annie's meetings with Jeanne seem to supply this idea.

There could also be a measure of.....etiquette involved here. It is always rude to spy on people, including through etheric means. I like your suggestion about vulnerability to stronger powers, that does seem to fit nicely. Also: THE HORROR, THE HORROR OF IT ALL. Crabs making out. Terrifying
