I am like 200% sure I have seen the second, well panel if you could call it that, somewhere before. I can't remember where though and it's driving me nuts. D:

Colored speech bubbles are back.
"You realized that you couldn't live without us, eh Tom?"

"When no one was looking, William Winsbury stole forty gold bars. He took 40 gold bars. That's as many as four tens. And that's terrible."
Even though others already have said it, I had to type it out...
Tom has had plausible deniability with possible meme references before, but this one takes the cake.

though I think that the "that's it, yeah" bubble belongs to William and thus should be yellow

So the horse was an illusionist? That's what he's referring to, right?

Is the third speech bubble meant to be yellow, not blue?

This is actually how I learned of this meme in the first place.

SECONDED. William, while kissing your girlfriend is adorable, it is not particularly responsible to do so while driving. But then again you stole all the gold and beat a horse in the race so I suppose you can do anything you want. So... am I the only one who didn't get the gold joke at all? >__>

One of the speech bubbles is in the wrong colour. But that's OK.

So... why do you guys think he included arrows for this page? Was it a stylistic choice on Tom's part, to show the craziness, slapped-togetherness of of the story? Or something else?

"When no one was looking, William Winsbury stole forty gold bars. He took 40 gold bars. That's as many as four tens. And that's terrible." Though, it looks like he actually took 96 bars. And that's terribler. I mean, unless a cake costs 2.4 bars of gold. That'd be the terriblest. More "importantly," how did they get a horse in the back seat of a car? And then force it back out again? Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go chortle like a horse...uh, like a boss.

This story seems legit.
I'm guessing next page, we get the really mundane real version of how they met.

Though, it looks like he actually took 96 bars. And that's terribler. You are correct. That's as many as four twelves.

Nay, sir. It is as many as four twenty-fours. Which is as may as four four sixes. And that's even more terribler.

INDEED THE BESTEST STORY! But the forums are one of the terribler murderings of the English language as I have never seen.
