Here's my guess: they will tell a story so over-the-top that everyone will believe they were joking about the whole thing, and they can go back to dating in secret.

Holy CRAP! That's a good start! It will be best story of this chapter, I guess! Here's my guess: they will tell a story so over-the-top that everyone will believe they were joking about the whole thing, and they can go back to dating in secret. I TOTALLY agree with you! Because I don't trust his story too)

Well, that means a lot more images for the inevitable "Collected Works of Thomas Siddell" album.

Here's my guess: they will tell a story so over-the-top that everyone will believe they were joking about the whole thing, and they can go back to dating in secret. Either that, or they're gonna get called out that it is nonsense only to proceed with an even more far out story, which in the end will turn out to be completely true! In any case: Ahahahah! ;D

It's like if the Paul Walker role in 'The Fast and the Furious' was played by a British Schoolboy with Vegeta hair.

Winsbury just earned himself a sizable promotion on my personal favorite-Gunnerkrigg-characters-list, for this awesome story. Janet too, for being hot

Heh, how many times is Tom likely to get the chance to draw cool cars within the confines of a Gunnerkrigg Court strip? Well played, Tom.
Also, I second/third/whateverth all the people saying this is already the best story of the lot. Well played, Winsbury.

Oooookay... if Tom does a wild swing, it's... really, really wild. Breaks "expect the unexpected". T|N>K I usually finish drinking my tea before looking into them internets. It's the only thing that saved my keyboard and probably monitor today. ;D Now to my wild guess: when everyone is too tired to laugh, Winsbury is going to innocently add "So... I wake up, go to the class for the first time, and oops! It's her. And she looks at me and says..." Cue seven brains with fuses blown up into fine dust, and half of this forum in much the same state.

Janet's got quite a figure for a 7th grader.

Winsbury's hair must have got stuck going up because of all the high speed racing...it all makes sense now! I wasn't expecting much from a story about these two...but this is a brilliant surprise. Janet's got quite a figure for a 7th grader. Year 7 is 6th grade in america, I think.

I feel vaguely uncomfortable that Janet is still only 11 in this flashback. It doesn't help much knowing that it's only from Winsbury's perspective.
That said - I don't think this is a real story. Unless it's in one of Dr Disaster's simulations.
Also - 113 in the necklace.

This is a fantastic page. Never would I have realized that this was what Gunnerkrigg Court was missing, but now it is complete.

So I guess that means Winsbury has the DVD box set of The Fast and The Furious film series. EDIT: Oh, dear gods, this is essentially Winsbury telling his self-insert fanfic then. Heh, how many times is Tom likely to get the chance to draw cool cars within the confines of a Gunnerkrigg Court strip? Well played, Tom. He got to earlier in the chapter. I would so race that car. Too bad I'm not a robot.

Maybe they're telling a over the top story so that everyone will call them out on it, and they can then proceed to tell the real story, which, while still over the top, seems far more plausible.
