So, Mr Green guy who was in love with Jeanne must have been of the same people, but not neccesarily the same tribe or family, as the Anwyn. Also, interesting third panel there. legion: Well, they ARE that age. It looks like this chapter will be a summary on what happened in the forest. |

Well if this is a summary of what happen I hope its at least 3 pages long... Oh which brings me back to the super hot guy I wonder how this Kamlen looks like, maybe a similarity to this guy. Also it would be pretty neat if he was an exchange student for the court... hardly possible but it would have been an interesting add. |

Given the armbands seen on Khepi, Green Elf guy, and Coyotes elf disguise, Green guy could even be of the same tribe, if not the same culture as the tree elves.
Although the blue armbands and various jewlery on Coyotes disguse could either be blue because it's coyote and the jewlery is just his own touch or he mis modelling his disguise on a different tribe or culture of the tree elves.

Tom's twitter message about the lipstick made me go back and check when she first got back from the forest in [848]. Sure enough she's wearing make up there. Considering that she apparently hadn't even bathed when she got back, that really shows where the make up falls on the priority list.
I kind of like her look without the lipstick here though.
(Also, hi everyone!)
ETA: Actually I like it enough that I would want Tom to keep it this way if I wasn't almost certain that the makeup is somehow significant.

That panel looks more symbolic than actuality, it looks more like it is showing her family tree with her as the matriarch and some of her children with Annie as an honorary/adopted member of the family. Of course though, we've only seen one elf (not counting Coyotes disguise), so we don't know if their elders really do grow brown 'branches' out of their heads. Did anyone else notice the guy's nae? Almost half of the comments muses about the same (another half says that Kamlen wouldn't have a chance for lack of beak and feathers). Also it would be pretty neat if he was an exchange student for the court... hardly possible but it would have been an interesting add. Not with current policies, anyway. But should Annie succeed in her little project, i guess she'd like to give those two a decent burial - together and on the other side. Then the probability of Kat and some of Green Guy's relatives meeting in process approaches 1. But i still think "Kat & Jack" variant is more likely. |

There's no indication that they're particularly flammable or fundamentally tied to trees in any specific way except perhaps living in them. They might just be boring old mammals who happen to live in trees. Annie also does not literally combust. And combustion certainly hasn't deterred her faraway ancestor from bedding a creature that could. |

I'd be more interested to see Kat + Kamlen. I see Kat as being more tied to the court than Annie, and it would be really interesting if Kat could actually turn out to be the one to bring the Court and Forest back together. Which is also something I hope will happen eventually.

I actually can see that scenario but with the whole history repeating itself deal... makes me think of star crossed lovers that always end up dying... Sorry don't mind my comment. It's just that I find it hard to believe that two lovers can stop the war after what happen to Jeanne but then again anything is possible in the court. Maybe not ease but possible. -shrugs- |
