Not quiiite how you do it! You need the page number and the link should be this one: www.gunnerkrigg.com/archive_page.php?comicID=850And the title should include something from the page in question Anyways someone else already made another topic with the proper format, and you seem to have already edited your post. Ah man, early morning ninja wars.

I figured I was surprised how long it was taking someone to post a topic really, usually it happens within seconds! And now we have two. Uh oes.

But yes, looks like they've got a good long while together.

But yes, looks like they've got a good long while together. And one day, Renard will watch over Annie's child. I just depressed myself slightly.

You know what we're probably missing? Some forest arts and crafts! Unless the court confiscated them, however they didn't confiscate the clothes (for obvious reasons, although the court may have given her the shirt to wear) and the leather bag, so it's possible that she still has some with her.
Howeva, given the fact that Tom does a 30 page buffer (equivalent to a chapter+), that isn't likely for a while unless he makes changes or something. (NOT asking tom to make changes to unreleased chapters, just not sure if he sometimes adjusts things before releasing them)

That's pretty sweet. I, for one, do hope for a less enthusiastic response from the other people, otherwise it will look like she just gets away with everything.

I don't think having gone through a nervous breakdown counts as getting away with everything.

Considering what she's been through, I don't see why any punishments are in order. Annie has quite a lot of weight on her shoulders. A bit of leeway is only fair.

Considering what she's been through, I don't see why any punishments are in order. Annie has quite a lot of weight on her shoulders. A bit of leeway is only fair. Punishments? Maybe not. However, I imagine there will be resentment and suspicion from some people, and she will probably be watched closely by the court. I hope Kat is understanding, if upset at what Annie did. On topic: Good to see Annie and Renard can put aside that incident and still value each other highly. Also, I know it has been stated to death after we saw her two pages ago, but Annie really has matured from her time in the forest. She also seems to be more open, more willing to talk and be emotional (although this is Renard she is talking too). Maybe this is what Coyote was trying to do. Anthony's influence, for whatever reason, made Annie hide her emotions from most of her peers . This means however, that the emotions build up, and she eventually lashes out when she has had enough, like she did with Renard. Now she can express herself more freely, this won't happen again, and she might be able to get along with more of the students.

This makes me think we might see Annie take Renard with her when she eventually visits the forest again, and let him have his own body once again.
Also: D'awww!

I wonder if Rey will apologize for trying to possess Annie. I'm skeptical as if he actually intended to do this, or had even been able to had he tried. In www.gunnerkrigg.com/archive_page.php?comicID=822, we see that they symbol representing humans is the eye. In www.gunnerkrigg.com/archive_page.php?comicID=51, the symbol that keeps him imprisoned is the eye with an "international no" stamped across it. Logical to assume that the symbol prevents him from taking the body of a human (a reason to tattoo it onto James and Donald in www.gunnerkrigg.com/archive_page.php?comicID=521). I suspect that he came up with a plan to escape through the toy wolf, which he hastily put into action with the fortune of having Antimony walk through the door immediately after James walked out the other ( www.gunnerkrigg.com/archive_page.php?comicID=53 ) - Loudly exclaiming that he wanted "your body!", punctuated with the "argh! damn it!" as he goes into the toy when James's back was turned. James must have thought that the "magic" didn't work as well as they'd hoped. I don't think Renard was expecting to be stuck there, however.

So Annie offered to completely release Renard in defiance of the Court, and he turned it down. I'm feeling more of a "wow" then a "d'awww" here.
Also, I'm guessing we won't have an answer to the 'did Renard intend to possess Antimony?' question for a while. Or maybe on the next page. There's a whole thread dedicated to this question somewhere.

This makes me think we might see Annie take Renard with her when she eventually visits the forest again, and let him have his own body once again. Hmm. I don't think this would fly with the court, with him having the ability to take bodies. Perhaps if Antimony made some kind of.. deal with Coyote to take back the body stealing ability (perhaps exchanging it with coyote's shape changing ability) first. Even with that, though, they would still be malevolant towards him, unless perhaps a way is found to return those who's bodies he took.. Who knows how this body stealing ability works, anyway? Perhaps the body taken is drawn completely into the etherium, and Renard essentially becomes a copy of them? The broken part being that the body ends up being stuck there and cannot get back out! That's the beauty of fantasy, anything can happen! Hmm. I wonder whatever happened to Brittany. And wherever could Antimony's father been going off to for all these years?

I'm skeptical as if he actually intended to do this, or had even been able to had he tried. This has been discussed to death in a dedicated thread. I would very much like to see it resolved. I suspect King Mir does too Perhaps we'll get the explanation soon.

Hmm. I don't think this would fly with the court, with him having the ability to take bodies. Maybe Annie could present it to the Court as a gesture of good will towards the Forest that could do a lot towards easing the tensions between them. The Court's old methods of handling the forest (murdering Jeanne and her lover, lying to Renard so that they could lure him into the Court and hold him prisoner, etc.) haven't worked so well (on the surface level, they've kept the Court safe, but with nasty side effects - a Jeanne who hates the inhabitants of the Court even more than she hates the forest-folk she's supposed to protect it from, two people - at least - killed by Reynardine's possession); maybe a more diplomatic and peaceful approach will have better results.

Okay, this page literally made me say "D'AAAAWWWW!" Me, a grown man. DAMN you, Tom. Besides all the hugging and sharing and the Forest Princess Annie with New Emotional Maturity Action, another big *whammo* comes in the form of Annie now willing to release Renard, and him staying with her anyway. We've come so far from their first encounter. So much greatness on a single page. Time to hit Post and then read it again.
