Awwwww.... they're both blushing. So cute.  So it seems Aly is hot under all those clothes, and yet he's required to wear them. Apparently not simply "wear lots of clothes", but wear more and more each day, and only until he leaves. How strange. Is he undergoing metamorphosis? Maybe he'll grow wings! I wonder if this is the last page for Thursday, and the next page will begin Friday.
I also wonder if we'll find out anything more about Alistair before this chapter ends, or whether it's just an introductory chapter to establish him and we have to wait for him to return at a later date to find out more. (Since Kat doesn't seem inclined to pry that much into the strangeness about him - and doesn't even seem to recognize it to be strangeness - and Annie has already learned her lesson about investigating him, it'll be all the more tricky to set up a situation where we find out the truth.)
And I wonder how much Alistair himself knows. Maybe he's just following his parents' instructions on such things as the increasing layers of clothing, without knowing the reason for them.

That's so adorable! I can wait to see what happens in the next strip. I hope that there will be a change of plans and that Alistair will be able to stay.
I love this comic, I think this is my new favorite strip:)

I wonder if the reason why Alistair has to wear those increasing layers of clothes isn't so much because of any intrinsic quality of his, as because of how the paranormal atmosphere of Gunnerkrigg and whatever intrinsic quality he has interact. That might explain his hint that he'd have to go on bundling up until he leaves. (It would also fit in with his first day at Gunnerkrigg being the one day that he was wearing a short-sleeved t-shirt - as if the Court hadn't started to affect him yet, but the process had started on Tuesday, when he first began to wear long sleeves and a scarf.)
At least we can feel increasingly certain of one thing: Alistair really does seem to like Kat. So if there's anything sinister about his presence in the school, I don't think that he's party to it. (His parents might be, but if they have some deep dark purpose in sending him there for the week, I doubt that they let him in on it.)
