Piffle. Galactus ain't devourer of anything, any more than you can "devour" a cake by just licking the frosting off of it.

I suppose I should post here, shouldn't I?
I'm a 17 year old living in the U.S., but don't hold that against me. I've been reading GKC for almost a year and really love the comic. I've been lurking quite a while, and finally got around to registering.

Heh. There isn't much to hold against you. I believe a large portion of the readership is American (not necessarily a majority--just many, including myself...someone correct me if I'm wrong)

O yea I forgot to do one of those things
Real name: Doug
Nickname: "Hey you"
Age: 17, as previously noted.
Height: about 6' 2"
Weight: around 200 pounds I think. Not sure in kilos.
Gender: Dude.
Fave games: World of Warcraft, Civ, poker
Favorite Court Character: So many I love, but Jones comes to mind. Annie, too, holds a place in my heart.
Favorite sport: Ultimate Frisbee
Favorite movies: Seven Samurai, most of Miyazaki's work, wall-e
Favorite books: The "Memory, Sorrow and Thorn" trilogy, most of Brandon Sanderson's stuff
A little about myself: I'm a senior in high school aiming to go off to college in a couple of years. I spend a lot of time with friends and on Warcraft. I found out about GKC through TvTropes and read it instead of doing my English homework. In fact, I have read it instead of doing schoolwork many times.

The most recently released movie from the Pixar Studios, a heartwarming tale about an tired elderly man seeking to have the adventure his deceased wife and him could never have. Fate has dropped a young wilderness explorer on his doorstep and together they face danger like never before.

Hey my name is Adam. I like you know, the usual nerd activities. I read webcomics, hang out on several forums, read fantasy novels, play MMORPGS, etc.
Don't be afraid to PM me and say hi.

aww...
In all seriousness, I only wish I was a boxbot. xD
T'was the year of Ninteeneightysix of which I was borne in a hospital in the southern part of Stockholm. I was born a healthy lad with a tuff of blonde hair and blueish green eyes. They say the very Gods cried out of joy at my birth. I grew up a regular Swede with a good education and ended up with an IQ of one-twenty, just a step up above average. Though I wasn't as tall as I wish I'd have been. My ideal was at least six feet, but I had to settle with being five foot ten. Oh woe is I. At this point in time, the year of the Lord 2009, I found this website and I joined the forum. I am being educated in Game Design and of the Japanese, German and English languages.
Thus is I.
hugs now? D8

Name: Anna
Age: 17. Go Seniors! And College Applications! And SGPs! And... yeah.
Location: The US of A.
Interests: Really nerdy stuff like reading and robots and science shows and comics and old movies/TV shows. Perry Mason rocks my socks. You should all see The Great Race. Also, Superman. He's my main man.
Sadly Revealing Fact: I can't decide if my favorite TV show is Perry Mason, Veronica Mars, The Man From U.N.C.L.E. (which is totally amazing), or History Detectives.
Secret Love: Boxbot. I know I shouldn't. I know he's universally hated. But he's just too cute.
I've been reading Gunnerkrigg for a few months, and finally decided to check out the forums. I actually joined to ask a Question For Tom, but, alas, that thread is closed. I was wary about joining, because I've been sucked into forums before and it wasn't pretty, but you all seem like nice, funny, overall cool people who know how to stay friendly and on topic, just the way a forum should be.

Whoa, it got locked? Shoot, I liked those threads...
I bet though, that it might have had something to do with the increasingly fewer questions being answered by Tom...

More to the point: The increasingly MORE questions being answered by someone other than Tom. Which Tom doesn't like.

That's the most awesome name I've ever heard. What? It's just about the most ordinary name there is. Not in the UK. Over here everybody's called Bob or Jeff. There are also multiple numbers of Alan's and Colin's where I work, which are also fairly dull names. Foreign people have much cooler names Anyway, welcome to all the new people!
