CITY FAAAAAAACE The scissor-fingers on that second robot are terrifying. Definitely not an ideal bird-carrying tool.

Well, she may not know much about birds, but she seems to have made the right call in spite of that. Ah well, back to the (robot) drawing board.

For some reason Pigeons in the court give birth to Dodos. *shrugs*

This page immediately made me think of this story, where Kat dated/hung out with a bird-boy for about a week or so. Which sort of makes Tea-San's comment that she "doesn't really know much about them" sorta ironic. Sorta. Somehow, this is going to turn into a metaphor about baby birds roboticists leaving the nest or something.

My first thought when I saw that bird, was "It's a young tic-toc that hasn't got any mechanical parts yet".
It probably just is a baby pigeon, though...

Yikes. I didn't realise pigeon babies looked so..... prehistoric.

And what will happen eventually? That Kat realises that arms are just stupid and that her robot gets wings, much cooler ;D

Kat's being a little less polite to 'bots lately, but I'd agree that Scythe-talon tankbot and musclebound pincherbot aren't the best choice to look after a baby bird.

For some reason Pigeons in the court give birth to Dodos. *shrugs* That's funny because dodos were essentially giant pigeons.

This is way too random to not have anything to do with the story. But what???

To me it looks like the baby form of the bird her love turned into. Either that or a baby Tic Toc. This would be a very clever way of easing us into more info on them while covering Kat's issues.

I was checking the forums to see if anyone was gonna mention City Face. Guess I didn't have to wait long for that! And YAY KAT WOOO! In terms of seeing her in the story again at least, I don't like how she's being right now. But she's angry and teenager-y so I'll cut her some slack.

Well I don't think anyone saw that coming.
By the gods that thing is hideous.
My prediction: She will incorporate it into Robot's new body, with hilarious consequences.

Good gracious, those are hideous-looking. And if you're interested, here's what they sound like. Tom's two rows of EEEs is actually pretty close. The sound is really freakin' irritating. (From www.youtube.com/watch?v=LyDskNqVE7k)

Holy cow, what a coincidence! I just recently saved a fledgling pigeon that looked just like that. It wasn't very talkative, but they can be real troopers-- mine lasted all night outside when I had to leave it on an animal hospital's stoop!
But man, watch for those legs, Kat, they break often when falling from the nest.

You guys know that Tom loves pigeons. There was little doubt that he was going to get all the details just right, including their funky look and their sound!

I don't trust those pigeon-parents. They've got lifeless eyes. Black eyes. Like a doll's eyes.

You'd be surprised to know how very ugly so many birds are when you look at them closely.

So given that Kat loves birds, and Kat loves robots, how much does Kat love Tic-Tocs? (It's taken me 14 FRIGGIN CHAPTERS to notice this connection > )

Hmn. This seems almost out of character for Kat.
Edit: Dear God did I just make a serious point instead of a horrible joke? The world shudders I'm sure.
