[667]Eglamore say "Not on first date." Jolly wise to listen.

Ahaha, this chapter is starting off very humorous. Most likely to balance off how dark the last chapter was. I like flirtatious Jolly. Antimony and Eglamore's expressions are great in the last two panels.

I like how Annie's arms are long enough to reach her knees. (Apologies for nitpicking)

Well, at least Coyote SORT OF remembered her name this time.

Eglamore is awesome in this one. I wouldn't trust Jolly further than I could throw him. On the other hand, Eglamore could probably throw Jolly pretty damn far.

Annie's expression in the final panel gives us a glimpse of how she'll look when she's ten years older.

I love how the perspective in panel six communicates how it must feel to have someone as huge as Eglamore pointing a sword at your throat.

This one made me laugh out loud.
Huray for Eglamore! Seems like Elfsberry got a few tricks from Coyote himself.

Well hey, Rey had his turn to be defensive of Antimony, now it's Eg's turn.

What a delightful new page.
After Coyote calling Annie Abalone, now we have another instance of forest creature calling her Acrimony Barber. I have to laugh at the symbolism of it, she really is aloof and slightly bitter, but to call her acrimonious would probably be unfair. However it works with how the forest creatures, fairies too, have names that reflect on their essence. Also, Barber might be there to refer to the razor-sharp wit, hehe. Abalone is a precious, pretty shell. And of course, Annie's demeanor is quite different than Jolly's, so that's what he'd notice first and shape her name accordingly. On the other hand, I might be reading too much into this. XD
I looooove it.
Edit: I just googled abalone. Ewwwww. X(

Edit: I just googled abalone. Ewwwww. X( Ha ha! Coyote is more a perv than I thought! Kate need to punch him in the stomach (or below). The last two pannels are awesome. Another kiss and Eglamore would have been in berserker mode.

That is the best POV panel ever. Especially if his sword counts as cold iron.

I note with approval the continuing evolution of Tom's art style. Annie's facial expressions are rendered differently from what we've seen before, and they're fantastic. "Er...should I smack him on the nose, or..."

Annie's chin in last panel looks weird... her face there in general looks too adult for me. ;/
Also, typo in thread title.

Eggers doesn't seem to like any of the Gillite folk. I wonder if that's typical of dragon slayers.
He wanted to marry a medium, though.

I like how Annie's arms are long enough to reach her knees. (Apologies for nitpicking) If you're going to nitpick, at least make it accurate. 1) This is a speculative nitpick. The only knees visible in the comic are Jolly's -- once. 2) Your hands actually reach down to merely 1/24 body length above your knees if you are regularly shaped and not rotund. Go ahead, stand up and try it. 3) Women in comics generally have the inward curve of their body displayed higher than in real life; it's a caricature effect that looks good on paper. If anything, that's what's off in proportion here, but it's industry-standard. =) By the way, I think we may be stumbling upon the first character in this comic that I would call my favorite. (Parley doesn't count, because that's more like a weird crush.)

I noticed the long arms too. Her elbows should be closer to her waist. Just didn't bother mentioning it. It's because her hips are slightly arched and her arms are hanging freely. I tried the pose myself and my elbows reached past my waist in the same fashion. But more importantly, prancing skills aside, why is that guy the emissary of the forest this time? Ahaha.

Add to Jolly's jewelry count: * Four bracelets on right arm * 11 rings on right hand (not totally consistent) * Two anklets on right leg * Three anklets on left leg
I predict that Jolly will attempt to add another trinket to his collection very soon.
But either he will fail, or Annie will simply take it back from him.

Looks like elves don't really understand personal space. Or maybe it's just Elfsberry.
On a side note of unsolicited information, I learned recently that the name "Alfred" means (or I suppose used to mean) "elf-council".

Jolly Elfsberry. Because the name "Robin Goodfellow" would have been WAY too obvious? ^_^

Annie's chin in last panel looks weird... her face there in general looks too adult for me. ;/ I also find the new character design unsettling; I don't know whether it's just Tom's style going through some changes that haven't fully settled yet, or whether it's a deliberate change to Annie's design - maybe to echo her precocious nature, or maybe to make the comic less appealing to creepy people (he mentioned once having to delete remarks in the comments section about people wanting to rape Annie).
